I travel a lot both for work and leisure. This hotel is the best hotel I have stayed at in a decade. You can tell it's a hidden gem because all the flight attendant/pilots stay here. I'm sure through personal experience and word of mouth this place has been touted as the best in Wichita for that traveling community. And I'm here to echo that sentiment. When we arrived, my partner and I first commented on how gorgeous the lobby was. The front desk was friendly, polite and without a reservation gave us a room with a phenomenal view of the river. They informed us about the complimentary breakfast (which many hotels offer), but also the free dinner. And also 3 free alcoholic beverages for EACH of us. They did say we had to pay for parking, but who cares? It's $12. I happily paid that for it's downtown location which made it so convenient to not only be by the river, but also be close to other restaurants/bars/coffee shops/concert halls, which we enjoyed the next day. But with so many amenities (nice 24 hour gym, heated indoor pool and hot tub) and the promise of a free dinner and drinks we stayed in for the night. The dinner was great! Costello was working the buffet and bar and was so high energy, he sang opera to our table. And the morning breakfast buffet was delicious, as well with a great selection. After all of this, I can't believe the low price I spent on such a great experience, which was comparable to what one would spend at a shabby big chain hotel. This place is a 10.

This was the coolest hotel we’ve EVER stayed at. Our room was huge and so beautiful. Super comfy bed and pillows. The lobby was so unique and old School, it was beautiful. AND not only does free breakfast come with your stay (great options for breakfast food) but free DINNER AND 3 FREE DRINKS come with your room purchase too! The food and drinks were incredible. There’s also a hot tub *outside* (that’s still open in the winter) as well as inside. We absolutely plan to stay here anytime we’re in the area. It’s our go-to place now. 10/10 recommend!

Included breakfast and kickback (food and drinks in the afternoon), both were very good. Location was adjacent to the Riverwalk which I enjoyed a lot. The hotel was clean and the furnishings were in very newish condition. Included parking in adjacent parking garage, and there is a sky bridge to the garage. My mattress was good, not great. The staff was very good, but often seemed like they were just ready to go home. Overall it was very nice and I liked staying there. Another plus was that the room was very quiet, I didn't hear neighbors. There was a false fire alarm at night while I was there, but the neighborhood seemed safe enough.

Wanted a fun and unique stay for my birthday. I've seen this place before when I used to live in Wichita, and was excited to try it out for a stay. It was even better than we imagined! The dinner and breakfast was a bonus treat, the interior of the hotel and the history incorporated in the art was really cool. And our room on the top floor - wow. The only thing that could have made it better was being on the side with the river view. Every staff person we encountered was fantastic, and made the stay even better. And the ability to park our car in a safe spot was great. Thank you!

We had the best experience at this hotel! It is a beautiful historic building in a great location. We felt very safe there; it's a very secure building, and was incredibly clean. Everyone who works there was kind and welcoming. We loved the free happy hour and breakfast, and my kids loved the pool. The parking garage is very convenient and we will definitely be back. You can tell this hotel is very well managed, we loved it!

Great option if you don’t have a vehicle and don’t plan on walking around outside the hotel. Otherwise be warned that there is a chance your vehicle will be damaged if you use the car park at the hotel. We were traveling across multiple states for Christmas when we decided to stop in Wichita to break up the drive. My wife wanted to stay at a nice hotel and this one was the highest rated in the area on the Marriott app. The staff were great when we checked in and made us feel very welcomed. The bad stuff:Location is rough. Most of the buildings around the hotel are boarded up due to people breaking the windows. The streets are full of homeless people at night making walking around very uncomfortable and unsafe feeling. The parking garage the hotel uses apparently has had frequent vandalism and break ins. The purpose of this review is to warn others beforehand since I wasn’t afforded that opportunity. We used Valet parking and in the morning learned our vehicle was broken into. Smashing the glass on the window, denting the body, broke the handle to open the tailgate, and ripped my bedcover. Discovering this set our travels back at least 5 hours and insurance deductible. The manager was very kind to help us get the window repaired and we are very appreciative of the efforts she made. It’s just sad everyday I’ve used my vehicle since then because I’m still finding glass in the truck and all over the items that were in it overnight.

Had a nice stay over a weekend visiting friends. Not a bad option, but a bit pricey for the market. We've made a habit of staying at Autograph Collection properties when possible due to the uniqueness and local flavor exhibited by many properties. This property was relatively vanilla by that standard, but the room was nice and well-appointed (save for it being extremely humid (almost wet)) in the room. Front desk service was great, as was the shuttle service provided by Austin. I'll second other guests' observations about the extreme racing street noise, you might think that the Wichita police would make an occasional stop by to patrol the racing as well as the aggressive homeless lady yelling at people in the lobby. All in all, not a bad stay but will likely stay elsewhere next time.

Love this place! We had originally hoped to come right in and sleep and leave early as we were passing through. We stayed up late at the restaurant at the bar. Excellent food, superb drinks. Such a great atmosphere and staff. If we ever come back through it’s a must! Great experience!

Excellent place to stay! The Hotel is beautiful and we will definitely stay there again! Our Suite was lovely, spacious, clean and very very comfortable. The stuff was super helpful and accommodating. Thanks for the wonderful time! The only thing which could be better is the service during breakfast. The food was delicious but the service was quite bad.It took quite long to order or to pay. So you need time if you want to have breakfast in the hotel.

My new favorite place to stay in Wichita....if it weren't for the street noise at night with the revving cars. Beautiful and large room. High end finishes. Amazing attentive service delivered with energy and kindness. Tuscan steakhouse on premise with great bar (including a happy hour). There is also a speak easy style bar in the basement that is worth a visit even if you don't stay here. Live music most nights there. And a self parking secure garage 20 ft from the hotel. The only major downside is the car noise on Douglas Road to the north. Request a room on the other side or higher up. Light sleepers will have issues on lower floors on the North side.
