Delightful Details! The Scheuster Mansion is easy to find and close to downtown activities but located in a quiet neighborhood w plenty of parking on the street or a small lot behind the mansion for overnight guests.I have not stayed overnight here but have walked about the Serenity Suite on the 1st floor which is an excellently laid out smaller multi-room space w an excellent use with a cozy & calming feel. This space is appropriately named & includes includes a duo tub w jets, a sitting parlor & a bathroom off the bedroom in suite. Both times I've came to the Scheuster Mansion, my objective was to enjoy a relaxed, immersive, & memorable time with dear friends for Mollie's High Tea.Unlike other high tea options, you are not limited to a single selection of a personal pot of tea that you must hope you chose well or regret. Rather, much to my group's delight, each season a selection buffet of 7 teas are featured to sample at will & homemade berry preserves & Devonshire quality cream are delicious accompaniments to the half-dozen savory & sweet treats.Mollie's tea is unique in that it accompanies monthly themed historical topics of interest & a Q&A period in addition to the culinary experience. In summer I attended Victorian etiquette & the Language of Fans & last weekend was the history of Mr Scheuster, the original owner. My young adult daughter accompanied me to the 2nd tea time & thoroughly enjoyed her visit as well. I've attended Summer & Fall & look forward to opportunities to experience Mollie's High Tea in both Winter & Spring in the future. The decor for Christmas is elaborate and the attention to historical accuracy & detail is delightfully designed! Highly recommended experience to step away from the frantic tech-driven world outside back into a more sensorily satisfying step back into the delights of the past!
