I live in the tub when I'm here. I gather snacks, drinks, my phone, the TV remote and all my favorite soaps and scrubs and spend the entire morning (or evening) in the tub.The view is stunning with lots to watch; ferries, waves and... people!Yep, there's people right outside your window. The blinds are super cool, with automatic raising and lowering of each section.Free, hot breakfast too. Parking is a little extra and very tight. Location is low key and looks more like a seaside motel from the front. Once you enter though, it is apparent it is much more!

The room was clean for the most part. Our room claimed to have a "sea view", it had a view of the shore, Pier and busy road with houses that could look in. I wasn't even able to have my windows open while in the tub because literally everyone could see inside. For having to wake up so early, breakfast wasn't great. No potatoes option, eggs where dry and flavorless. The bacon was limp and sad The health inspection rating was just "okay". It was so hot in the dining area as well, but all the nobs to open the windows where taken. So I got nauseous from the heat. It's Washington for crying out loud, we all wake up and put sweaters on, it does not need to be 80° in the sitting area. I have stayed here now 4 times and each time it seems to go down in quality. Especially since they built the fancier one up the road. For what we paid, it was not worth it. I had a better experience in a holiday inn just recently. Sadly I don't think I'll be back.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Silver Cloud Hotel Waterfront in Tacoma, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with warm, friendly faces that instantly made us feel at home. The lobby itself was elegant and welcoming, setting the tone for the entire stay. After driving 14 hours for a family emergency, we were looking for a place to unwind, and the comfort of our room exceeded all expectations. It was spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything we needed to feel at ease. What truly set this hotel apart, though, was the breathtaking view. The scenic vistas of Tacoma and the bay were simply mesmerizing—an unexpected but much-needed source of tranquility during such a stressful time. The occasional train passing by added a charming touch to the experience, as the rhythmic sound created a serene and unique ambiance that felt truly special. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Greg, in particular, stood out for his kindness and generosity. His attentiveness was deeply appreciated, and he made sure our stay was as smooth and pleasant as possible. Evelyn was very nice, hardworking and able to help us with our needs. This stay provided the comfort and care we so desperately needed, and we are grateful for the Silver Cloud Hotel Waterfront’s impeccable service and accommodations. We look forward to returning and will highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for making a challenging time more manageable with your outstanding hospitality!

Had a great experience for my first stay at this hotel, definitely no complaints. Hotel staff was especially nice and went above and beyond. I left my wedding ring set in the room and called after I had checked out and returned home, the staff found my rings for me and shipped them to me the next day. Pleasantly surprised with the genuine staff here. Will be back!

1/17/25 Hannah (desk clerk) moved us to a different room after the one number 120 had too much view of the street and hardly any water view. She was accommodating and let us in the room a little early after my drive down from the Canadian border. The beds were very comfortable and room, large, clean and comfortable. Had problems closing the drapes but otherwise well maintained. Young blond housekeeper was especially nice. Had a peeping bird Albatross sitting on a post during the stay. Fun to watch the wildlife. Nice quiet location.Breakfast was average with a normal variety. We only ate there once as we were there for hockey tournaments. No problems parking.I would choose this hotel again but opt for a King PremierSuite with a bigger water view.

I was SO impressed with every single thing about this hotel. The location is amazing, the rooms are large and pristine. We were there for a banquet and the food was wonderful. All of the staff was exceptional. We will return to Tacoma just to stay here again! Thank you for the amazing accomodations!

The hotel itself was great, clean rooms, an amazing view, and a fantastic location. The valet team was friendly, and the free charging was a nice perk. However, the front desk service left much to be desired. The staff at check-in weren’t friendly, which put a damper on the experience. If the service had matched the quality of the hotel, my rating would have been much higher.

We stayed here one night for my birthday night away. The view from our room was fabulous! We weren’t in the room very long to make it worth the cost.I was excited about the jacuzzi tub and did enjoy it, a lot of buttons so I was glad for instructions. The tile step is super slippery when getting out. The problem with the jacuzzi is that the air jets kept going on all night. It started about 2 hours after using the tub and went off every 30-45 minutes. After thinking we fixed it each time, we finally called the front desk at 3am and was told to turn off the breaker. We were not asked how our stay was at the time of check-out (in person) otherwise I would’ve voiced concerns then. Also, the room door had a large gap under the door, at least an inch! This made it very loud when people were in the hall and made me wonder if people in the hall could hear us. We also had very loud neighbors who were walking around in heels at 6am.I did send a survey/email to the hotel after our stay and got an automated response saying they were glad we enjoyed our stay, this tells me they didn’t actually read what I wrote.Overall, the room cost and valet cost were too high to justify returning.

My kids and I come here often for our staycations. We love all the staff. The valet people are amazing. But this last stay we had Nick helping us at the front desk, and we had an even better experience than ever. During the check in process he made it so efficient and welcoming, going above and beyond to help us throughout our stay and answering questions. We love staying here and our experience yesterday was phenomenal. Thank you always Silver cloud staff!
My wife and I stayed in a Jacuzzi suite to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is beautiful and we loved the natural stone accents and modern design aesthetic. The space felt clean and fresh. We've stayed at the other Silver Cloud further down Ruston several times and always had a great experience there. This new location is even better! The restaurant is fantastic. Really tasty decadent food. Valet is excellent and definitely worth it. The room was beautiful, great view, the bed was cozy.Overall, a great place. We'll definitely be coming back!
