My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Virginia Beach Town Center was quite disappointing. From the moment I arrived, I was met with an unpleasant odor that lingered throughout the hotel and even into my room. The property is extremely dated, with decor that feels old and uninspired. The room itself was very basic and lacked any sense of comfort or modernity.Despite keeping the air conditioning on, the room felt damp and uncomfortable for the entire stay. I also had persistent issues with my room key deactivating, and the card scanner was unreliable, making access to the room frustrating. The pillows were flat and clearly overdue for replacement, and the linens were in dire need of an update. Overall, the room was far from what I would expect from a Hilton property. To add to the disappointment, the pool and hot tub were under renovation, something that wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the hotel’s website. This was a letdown, as I had hoped to use these amenities during my stay. The only redeeming factor for this hotel is its location, which is convenient with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. However, even this positive aspect doesn’t outweigh the numerous negatives. Having stayed at other Hilton properties, this was by far the worst experience, and I would not recommend this hotel until significant improvements are made.
