Go read my review of the Quality Inn off of Freedom Drive to get an indication of how my day started. It will also let you know how low the bar had gotten. And then, I met Tim, the Front Desk Manager here at Ramada. Tim was kind, understanding, and incredibly helpful to my family and I as we sought a SAFE and SECURE place to lay our heads between BETA Club Convention days. He had our room reserved and ready in less than ten minutes. He was gracious, informative, and genuinely interested in helping from the moment I called to when we arrived and beyond.Let me start by saying that the hotel is CLEAN. Not "I just dusted last week" clean, but rather the kind of clean that speaks of management actually paying attention and supervising their employees clean. Vacuumed, dusted, mopped, with crisp, fresh linens on both beds.Yes, we did opt for the double queen bed option BUT thus room is about 30% larger and more spacious than the dungeon we had tried to check into earlier in the day. There is plenty of space for all four of us to relax in comfort and style.Noticeably absent from the hotel are the deranged homeless. This makes sense, as Tim actually works the front desk and pays attention to the comings and goings of folks. Also, the doors here are secured after 11 pm, and you must buzz in between 11p and 6a. Access is controlled, so the derangement is controlled. The neighborhood is light retail and some other hotel properties, and appears to be quite reserved and peaceful.See you all again next year!
