Incredibly dirty room. Crumbs on the bed, crushed cookies, and a terrible smell. We stayed for 30 min before leaving.Attempted to get a refund through hotels.com but hotel management refused.Note that other reviews have bed bugs mentioned.

I stayed here because I unloaded a dozer nearby and had to pick it back up the next morning. The front desk employees were awesome and the room was awesome also. They have truck parking in the back. Food close by as well.

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. The service was excellent throughout our stay. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, perfect for starting the day. The place is well air-conditioned, offering optimal comfort. We particularly enjoyed the indoor pool, which was very clean, as well as the well-equipped fitness room

It is one of the cleanest hotels we have been in. Even better than ones that are multi star rated. Not just the guest rooms, all areas including common areas, hallways, meeting rooms, lobby/reception, pool area as well as outside. Nice large room. Very helpful and attentive staff. We had requested an accessible room. It had all the amenities needed within reach for mobility challenged person. Slightly higher commode seat (which is good). However, the bathroom had just one horizontal grab bar next to the commode. There were no grab bars near or inside the bathtub. There was a shower chair. The bathtub would be challenging for a wheelchair bound person. Above average free breakfast buffet.

This was a nice hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. There is a nice pool (I didn't have time to use it) and a back patio. There is no hot tub (they have Jacuzzi rooms) so that was a bummer. There is also a small exercise room. The only reasons I gave 4 stars was the beds were very uncomfortable to me (very hard but, some people like that) and the breakfast was just ok (like most hotel breakfasts). I was grateful to have something for breakfast though. They say that they have a strict no pet policy but I did see a service dog and they can't help that. Because of the beds, I probably wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel is quite basic in terms of equipment. Its biggest downside is undoubtedly cleanliness, whether in the common areas or in the rooms. Upon discovering our room, we went into the bathroom, lifted the toilet bowl and noticed with horror traces of dried urine. We had a lot of trouble getting the marks out with soap, which meant the stains had been there for a long time. There was also a foul smell in the room. Cleanliness was also very limited in the refectory, some renovations to the walls and ceilings would be welcome.Another downside: we had to pay taxes upon arrival. Paying $60 in taxes at the Riu Hotel in the heart of Chicago is something I can totally understand. But to pay 50 dollars in this hotel for such little comfort and cleanliness, I don't understand. The only positive point is that it is not far from the center of Springlfield: about 10 minutes by car.

Go read my review of the Quality Inn off of Freedom Drive to get an indication of how my day started. It will also let you know how low the bar had gotten. And then, I met Tim, the Front Desk Manager here at Ramada. Tim was kind, understanding, and incredibly helpful to my family and I as we sought a SAFE and SECURE place to lay our heads between BETA Club Convention days. He had our room reserved and ready in less than ten minutes. He was gracious, informative, and genuinely interested in helping from the moment I called to when we arrived and beyond.Let me start by saying that the hotel is CLEAN. Not "I just dusted last week" clean, but rather the kind of clean that speaks of management actually paying attention and supervising their employees clean. Vacuumed, dusted, mopped, with crisp, fresh linens on both beds.Yes, we did opt for the double queen bed option BUT thus room is about 30% larger and more spacious than the dungeon we had tried to check into earlier in the day. There is plenty of space for all four of us to relax in comfort and style.Noticeably absent from the hotel are the deranged homeless. This makes sense, as Tim actually works the front desk and pays attention to the comings and goings of folks. Also, the doors here are secured after 11 pm, and you must buzz in between 11p and 6a. Access is controlled, so the derangement is controlled. The neighborhood is light retail and some other hotel properties, and appears to be quite reserved and peaceful.See you all again next year!

Very pleasant experience in the hotel. The room was clean and tidy. The staffs were friendly and nice. Quick service for check in and check out. The location is near highway. A lot of restaurants near by. Closer from downtown Springfield about 11-14 minutes.

Had a great experience at this hotel. Very clean, free breakfast was good and great value. The only couple of things that I didn't like was the pool was very cold when it was supposed to be heated and no hot tub. Could have more variety of food for a hot breakfast. They do have waffles that were so good and they had eggs and sausage, toast, muffins, yogurt and cereal. Overall it was a great hotel and I spent 2 nights there.

Pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of this older hotel. Staff was friendly and breakfast was more than sufficient. The two sinks (one in the bathroom and one outside) made it much easier for two to get ready simultaneously. The bed was comfortable and there was even a dehumidifier in the room. Would definitely stay here again.
