So I had a quiet family dinner after a funeral and had an experience with the students being in the lobby group studying very loudly to a point where my family couldn't hear each other at our table in Rhor's. I feel like the students should not be allowed to study in the hotel lobby intended for guests! They have plenty of places on campus to use for their studying and they are very well aware of that. They choose to come and disrupt your paying guests quiet time and you allow it to happen. If I was a paying guest I would have asked for my money back and went to another hotel! I wouldn't recommend your hotel because of this reason alone! Very Unprofessional for a campus hotel!

Absolutely gorgeous Hotel inside and out. Perfect location to allow short distance walks all over the Notre Dame campus! The staff at check-in were overly accommodating allowing for early check-in at no extra cost plus, an upgrade to a suite.The rooms were exquisite. So clean and the Notre Dame robes were an absolute unexpected treat! The room offered an outstanding view of the campus.Thai restaurant for breakfast was extremely good and offers a very cozy setting.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Morris Inn at Notre Dame, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Booking late on move-in weekend for 1st year students, we secured a room at peak rate, several times the baseline for which that the room would otherwise be booked. Even with this rate, it was worth every penny and then some. Rooms were first class, staff -- throughout the hotel, valet and resturant -- were outstanding and the atmosphere was second to none. Moreover, I write this as a Stanford alum with no affiliation to the University, and more importantly, a healthy dose of skepticism about Notre Dame (forged in large measure by losses on the gridiron!); let me say that the Morris Inn, located in the heart of campus, has made me begrudgingly reconsider my long-held position 🙂 In short, a top shelf place to stay that is worthy of this world weary traveler's highest recommendation in terms of accomodations. A must on any schedule - work or pleasure - that includes South Bend!

Horrible Experience – Unclean Rooms and Grossly Inappropriate Staff Behavior
My experience at the Sleep Inn in South Bend was nothing short of appalling. The room was in terrible condition—dirty, poorly maintained, and far below any acceptable standard. To my shock, I discovered that lightbulbs in the room had been duct-taped into their sockets, which is both unsafe and unprofessional.

When I informed the front desk about these issues, the staff member came to my room to inspect the situation. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, she behaved in an alarmingly inappropriate manner. After looking at the issues, she stood there and asked, “Is there anything else I can help you with? Are you sure there’s anything at all I can do?” all while making suggestive gestures and glancing at me inappropriately.

This behavior made me feel deeply uncomfortable and unsafe. I firmly and politely asked her to leave and made it clear that I was not interested in any inappropriate conduct. Such unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable, and no guest should ever have to deal with this kind of situation.

It is truly shameful that Choice Hotels allows this property to operate under their brand. They should sever ties with this location immediately, as it tarnishes their reputation. I strongly urge others to avoid this hotel entirely—it is not worth the risk to your comfort or

I honestly don’t know where to begin. This was hands down one of the worst motel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, I regretted my decision.

I was waiting for 30 minutes to check in into the room. As soon as I check in there is no toilet paper in the room. To get the toilet paper I was headed to front desk and they again asked me to wait for 20 minutes. After that there were many people who are cooking in the room and that smell I have to say is like yakk. The AC is not working properly. The shower contains are dirty and has a dirty smell. After that the breakfast, there is no coffee in the coffee dispenser. The eggs are smelling very bad.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other motels in the area that are cleaner, more comfortable, and worth your money. I’ll never be staying here again.

Horrible place. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! First of all, we booked the room ahead of time and when we arrived they told us the room isn't ready. Once we FINALLY got into the room, we noticed the unmade beds...and to top that off the bed sheets were covered in crap stains, and pee stains. Spaghetti all over the toilet seats and pool was closed due to unhygienic violations. The room smelled disgusting. You're better off sleeping at the airport.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Catch shut eye at a rest area before staying here! Unless you like being a Buffett for bed bugs!
This was an overnight somewhere to sleep between home and our destination kind of stay; so there just to sleep & get back on the road. It was the ONLY place we stayed before getting to Detroit. We booked the room prior to our trip via the Choice Hotel app - so planned. BIG MISTAKE! Even though we were literally there from 12:30(ish) AM - 5:30 AM. I couldn’t sleep…..I’d soon find out why!
The room we slept in - pet friendly two queen beds - had bed bugs that decided I was a great feast! We got in later than expected, and I have never been so happy to be too tired to bring up our overnight bag - packed with our stuff just for this kind of sleep and go stay. I’d rather be stinky in two days old road clothes than have risked bringing bed bugs to my dad’s by bring up our go bag!
Not only was the room so unworthy of 30$, much less over 100$, I ended up with 14 bed bug bites total! The allergic reaction to the bites - that started within hours of waking - triggered my asthma and I had to battle mild wheezing for a couple days. On top of maddening itching! The bed I slept in literally looked and felt like the ones they offer at the Salvation Army! Except the one I slept in also came with bed bugs!
The reviews about the state of the rooms - smells, disrepair, beds, possible mold, disgusting floors, dated bedding, & bed bugs - being terrible, are 100% correct! I find it VERY hard to believe this place was decent within the past two years! So take heed! This place is disgusting!
This place should NOT be offered on the Choice app! (Yes, we reported this place to them as well) And should not be open until they get rid of the bed bugs and fix this place!
However, for us to ever stay here again, they would have to knock this place down burn the rubble, cart that off to some dump to be burned again, and then rebuild from ground up before we will ever stay here again!

First off the hotel looks NOTHING like the photos! Walked in and there was a strong Chlorine smell come to find out the pool had a letter from code enforcement on the door stating to not go in the pool because it is so nasty you would get a disease from getting in it! The lady at the desk was extremely rude! I requested to see my room to make sure it was clean she was mad about that then showed us the room, and then gave us a totally different room! I was so upset and the room she gave us had a leak! Also they control the air conditioning at this time is was 99 degrees so our stay was miserable!! Also there was a bunch of homeless people and drunks outside day and night asking for money! 0-10 would not recommend!!! Please don’t stay here yes it’s cheap but it’s not worth losing your sanity
