Currently at the Thompson Seattle and due to a simple (yet very important aspect) I am compelled to FAIL this hotel due to Kleenex/Tissues!
It blows my mind; This hotel isn't cheap and upon returning to my room, the empty Kleenex box has not been replaced. Not only has the kleenex not been replaced but, the housekeeper seems to have removed the decorative silver cover for it!!! Something so simple makes me cringe; It is fall in Seattle, allergens are in the air, allergies a reality, and yet the hotel cleaning staff doesn't replace an empty tissue box? How much can tissues cost? $3 American dollars? So now, as a paying guest, I have to either use toilet paper for my runny nose or waste my own time calling the front desk for Kleenex!! It blows my mind!!!
So, leaving this review now (Oct 5, 2024) after 3 nights (one more to go), I have to say this hotel has failed my expectations on the most basic level of comfort. If you're considering staying at the Thompson hotel, the beds are comfortable, the location is very convenient to the famous Market and etc, just be sure to pack your own Kleenex I guess!
Also, upon check-in, I was told of an awesome rooftop bar; 3x I tried to access this bar and was unable to due to a huge line. I feel as a paying hotel guest that a separate access line should be made apart from the basic patrons who come in off the streets.
