Love this little gem nestled in on the beach, Sophia with check in was very helpful and sweet, appreciate the customer service and appreciate the dog friendly place, our pup enjoyed the patio people watching. Thank you for a great vacation away from our very hectic life.

Rough stay- we left with several bug bites after one night there, specifically from the pillows. Stayed in room 9.

Loud cleaners shouting at each other and sweeping by 830 am in the hallways that forced an earlier start than we preferred.

Check in is extremely strict at 4. Checked out with front desk lady before 11 and got a call at 11:14 asking when we were returning our room key.

Location is fine, but for a better price, service, and experience, we would go elsewhere.

The location is nice, room was clean, but it looked much smaller than in the photos. Would I stay there again? Maybe, if it was just one family. For two couples it was a little bit inconvenient with the bathroom entrance through the bedroom. Otherwise location was right on the prom, but no view as expected.

We visited here for our honeymoon, and we could not have loved it more. We will definitely be coming back! The view of the ocean is gorgeous, and we loved our room. The staff were kind and helpful when we needed them.

Nice little location, the rooms are nice and have everything you need. The kitchenette is a nice touch. It's great to be able to cook something up if you need to. Sofia at the front desk was very nice and made us feel welcome. Our new favorite spot in Seaside.

This inn is super cute and has a wonderful view, we had a great time. The only issue we ran into is we found a pair of dirty socks on the floor from the previous visitor and when we informed the front desk we were met with “Oh really? Thanks for letting me know I guess”. There was no apology or anything. It did make us question how clean the room really was.

Very disappointed with the room, view and hotel. Musty smell in the room, old furniture, wall AC was noisy and dint work well, the river is a joke. The room as it is was very expensive (same price as oceanfront rooms at Seaside, however we booked the same day and all those hotels were booked) and they charged another 20 bucks for a higher floor. Total rip-off. The only things I liked there - one of the front desk guy was friendly and nice. They have good free hot breakfast included and they also give happy hour crab bisque. It’s right by Broadway street. We stayed one night.

My wife and 2 young teens from DC, traveled to NW Oregon and spent two nights at the Kathryn in late July 2025 on our way to Seattle. Absolutely loved our stay. The room, bed, bathroom were comfortable and clean. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, friendly and caring. A complimentary fresh cup of smoked salmon chowder was offered at the front desk upon arrival. Son loved pool and hot tub. The hotel is more “rustic”, so if you’re looking for up scale Four Seasons ambiance, probably not your place. Best part is we could easily walk all over Sea Side for dining, drinks, arcades, shopping and the beach of course. We lucked out and caught low tide our first morning and drove to the end of 12th St (per the front desk advice) and collected sand dollars in the shallow surf. (See attached). We drove up to Astoria to see Goonies House & Columbia River sites and down to Cannon Beach, Hug Point as well to see the beautiful views, sites/ beaches - and Tillamook Dairy for ice cream. Also, a new Safeway is only 3 blocks away. All together it deserves a 5 star review for our 2 night stay in Sea Side OR.

This was our third year/stay at this same hotel for family vacation in Seaside, OR because we had loved staying here. Decent breakfast, nice staff, and great location.

This time around, I discovered black molds on the shower curtain when I took a shower. I addressed this to the front desk, and they offered to replace it. It made me wonder if they even keep track of the dates they replace the shower curtain. Other than this, it was okay experience overall.

However, when I commented this specific incident and my concern on the survey after the stay, I receive the following response from the hotel: "We’re sorry for overlooked shower curtain. While it IS our policy to change shower curtains between each guest, we apologize that it seems to have been overlooked in this instance. "

"between each guest" ?! Really? Do you think it takes just a few day to have black mold on the shower curtain? Do you think the guest stayed more than enough days to get the black mold?! How long their "policy" has not been complied? what other their "policies" have not been enforced? I didn't want to post the photos of the mold until I received this response.

We stayed here when visiting seaside. The Inn is a bit dated but clean and cozy and located in a quieter area of seaside by the river and is short walk from downtown and beach which makes it super convenient. They offered free buffet breakfast and a yummy smoked salmon chowder at the front desk in the afternoon which was a nice treat. The pool is tiny but my kid enjoyed splashing in it. Their customer service and front desk staff were great and they allowed us to stay parked at the hotel after checkout for a few hours until we were ready to leave town.
Nice stay overall!

Stayed here during the annual sand tournament in seaside. The place is clean and nice! The kids loved the pool! Morning breakfast buffet was great! I would say the only thing were the shower heads in the rooms… they could definitely use a cleaning … the one in our room we couldn’t point straight down which made it hard for the kiddos to take showers, and towels… even though 4 people were staying in the room, they only left 2 towels and 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner… but all you have to do is ask for more!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to help other travelers make an informed decision. Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was far from satisfactory due to serious cleanliness and hygiene issues.

From the moment I walked into the room, there was a strong, unpleasant odor — it smelled distinctly of urine, which immediately raised concerns. Upon further inspection, I found visible stains on the bed linens, suggesting they had not been properly cleaned or replaced between guests. Even more disturbing was the presence of leftover food on the floor and under the bed — a clear sign that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned prior to my arrival.

The bathroom was arguably the most shocking part. There were noticeable fecal stains on the toilet seat, which was both unsanitary and unacceptable for any accommodation, let alone one that charges guests for a supposedly comfortable and clean experience.

On a more positive note, I will say that the hotel staff were courteous and made an effort to be helpful. They seemed genuinely apologetic when I voiced my concerns. However, friendliness can only go so far when the basic standards of cleanliness and hygiene are so clearly lacking.

Overall, while I appreciated the staff’s attitude, the condition of the room was unacceptable. I would strongly advise potential guests to consider alternative accommodations until management seriously addresses the cleanliness and housekeeping standards. Plus no refund or compensation was offered.
