Clean, quiet and classy hotel, walking distance from the Main Street Station. We stayed in room 412 which was a nice size with a king bed. There’s not a great view from this room, but it was quiet and the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Our friends were on the 6th floor and had an awesome view from their balcony. Keep in mind that there’s no refrigerator or microwave in the room, so can’t keep leftovers if you have a big meal. The staff were friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. Basically just what you need when exploring Richmond. There are many activities within walking distance. There’s a coffee and tea station in the lobby.I felt like I was in a classy hotel from the 20-30’s era. I really enjoyed my stay and could see visiting again.

Grateful for early check in but didn't appreciate the fact that the rooms had no microwave or refrigerator. The mattresses sunk in as well. I think there needs to be more improvements to this historic hotel

Our room was the first room when you turn the corner from the elevator and the noise from the actual elevator machinery was constant throughout the day and night. It was very load. We had to keep turning the television up because we couldn't hear it. The rooms where clean, staff was nice. Biggest disappointment was the self parking garage that is attached to the hotel and convention center. We were told by the hotel staff and the sign in the parking garage that the cost was $20 for week day and $8 dollars for weekend. We checked in Friday and left Sunday. Didn't move the car since we were told if you left and came back you would have to pay again. When i went to scan my parking pass and pay Sunday afternoon, i was charged $60!! No one was available at the parking garage so i called Monday and left a message. No one from the hotel could tell me why since they are not associated with the self parking garage. I wasn't expecting that.

Hotel was obviously quite busy tonight and the staff were overwhelmingly professional and handled difficult situations with grace. Prathvi specifically helped us with our check in, and was super professional and got us situated in our room. They appeared to be oversold quite a bit, but this didn’t stop Prathvi from handling compensation for room changes fantastically. Excited to stay here again

Love the Marriott Downtown. Been staying there for over 6 months. Have not had a bad moment since staying there. From checking in either Kiara to checking out with Kiara great customer service from her and everyone else. Management is fantastic, helped me fix a couple of reservation errors I made. Overall highly recommend, the restaurants are great and the lounge is AWESOME. See you soon.

Upon checking in I was greeted by Nicole at the front desk. She was kind, professional and extremely helpful. She went the extra mile to show me how to find the Marriott Bonvoy app on my phone and explained in detail the benefits of having it.Her great customer service should be acknowledged.I want to also acknowledge Carlos in the M CLUB… Carlos was extremely helpful and kind. He took care of our food orders and made sure everything was fresh and served to us quickly. He seemed to take pride in his work which made us feel welcomed and taken care of.My stay was for business but definitely return for pleasure at a later day!!

The staff in the club today was exceptional, especially the vibrant and kind young (older only because she told me and I couldn’t believe it) lady. She was the most attentive and courteous staff I have ever encountered in all my many Marriott visits. She made the stay extra special .

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Marriott restaurant for breakfast, and I can’t say enough about Anna! From the moment we walked in, her warm welcome and beautiful spirit set the tone for a delightful morning. Despite the chilly temperatures outside due to the snow storm, they had lost the heat in the building; Anna created such a pleasant atmosphere that we completely forgot about the temperature. Her attentive service and cheerful demeanor made our breakfast experience truly enjoyable. It’s rare to find someone who can uplift the mood so effortlessly. If you’re looking for a fantastic breakfast and a warm, inviting environment, be sure to ask for Anna—she's a true gem!
