The room was spacious. The shower was very nice. The mattress was horrible; hard and lumpy. I asked several times for a mattress topper and they brought me a comforter! Three nights with very little sleep; aches and pains from trying to sleep on the horrible mattress! Not to mention that I paid almost $300 they will be accountable to reporters and or Document Lot of folks per night! When I called after the second night I was told to calm down and they would bring me a topper, which did not happen. I went home exhausted and in pain. Never again!!!!

I stayed here recently for a getaway/birthday trip. The location is perfect, there’s a lot to do in the area and in walking distances. The corner king room I stayed in was spacious and clean.

However, there was a two hour delay with checking in. My room was not ready until after 6pm and check in is at 4pm. This wasn’t a huge deal since I was able to enjoy the nice bar area in their lobby but this should have been communicated prior to arrival. The remote seemed to had trouble synching to the television and the tv wouldn’t power off for some odd reason. The dual sinks had a drainage issue and the housekeeping staff was not tentative as expected. I requested several simple things (extra linen and toilet tissue) and there was either a 24 hour delay or they just didn’t show at all. Even if they were busy this should have been communicated and I would have been happy to go to the lobby/wherever and retrieve the items myself. My overall experience was good but there lack of communication and tentativeness could be improved.

My husband and I always stay here when we are visiting Norfolk for an event. This hotel is really nice! It is modern styled hotel with an art gallery. I definitely recommend this hotel for your next stay.

Beautiful old building with beautiful glass art display. The check-in was easy with Lauren, very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious, and the air conditioner worked well, but a little loud. They offer bottled water in the rooms and have a mini fridge - nice touch.

A great place to be. Very friendly staff and a nice vibe in downtown Norfolk. The rooms were large and very nice. We had a great view of the water with ships coming and going. The attached glass gallery is outstanding. I would stay here every time I’m in this area. Easy walk to Chrysler Hall.The restaurant is also very good! Try the scallops! Spectacular!

We checked in on a Thursday evening. Friday morning we went out about 8:00 and I saw they had some apples and oranges in a bowl in a small room where you could get water bottles. The orange looked old and the apples were starting to wrinkle so I passed on them. The cleaning carts were in the hall and the staff was working so I thought they'd replace the fruit and I might get some later. We came back a little past noon and our room wasn't cleaned. My wife asked the front desk if they could clean it while we were out at lunch. We were on a tight schedule trying to get some work issues taken care of before we were to meet friends for dinner then a show at the Chrysler Theater. We came back from lunch around 1:45 and the room was still not cleaned. The orange was getting darker too! So we decided to do a bit of sight seeing and asked for the room to please be cleaned by 3:00. After our walk we returned at 3:00 to find the room had been cleaned! Yippee! The orange was still there with its wrinkly friends. We got ready for dinner and the show and left. The hotel is quiet as well as the neighborhood. No street sounds to disturb you and the sound insulation between the rooms works great. The on site art glass gallery is very interesting! Everything is clean and very well maintained, other than the fruit bowls. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Valet parking is $33 a day but self parking is $19 a day. The garage is conveniently adjacent to the hotel. Lots of dining options within a short walk. As short as two doors away for some! And they have a restaurant in the hotel. We didn't try it with only having two nights and plans with others.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed. Roaches, not internet, charged me 250 cash deposit and have been giving me the rum around for a week now about sending it back to me . It's call theft . Also I booked through choice rewards. And they don't even have the rooms they advertise on there. TOTAL FAIL. DO NOT STAY HERR

I wish i could have put a fraction of a star on each one. This was awful! End of july, aur is broken, no toilet paper, no service whatsoever. Booked two nights and wanted a refund for the second the conditions was unacceptable. THERE WASNT EVEN A SHOWER CURTAIN! They refused to answer the phone for expedia. Just ignored all calls to attempt to recover money wasted on this rat hole.

Bed was dirty. Toilet dirty. No blankets. No coffee or anything in the morning when website says it's there. Door to lobby was locked ..lobby was used as cleaning closet basically. Said blankets were in laundry .. no shuttle service. Said was broke down. Charcoal grill going at 9 am right by the steps. Bad location. Owner does not care at all. He was present and offered nothing but he doesnt have to offer clean sheets or blankets. Pathetic. I'm getting a refund if it takes a year. Another woman was in the office with the same issues and no sleep. Needs condemned. O and the ceiling was about to fall in our room

ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES!!!!! This was the absolute worst emergency stay EVER! My sister google searched hotels near Norfolk Airport because they had a 6am flight. She booked the room through Booking.com and then called the hotel for the shuttle service. The guy that answered said that there was no shuttle service because the guy that drives was off, so she called an Uber. She and her son arrived at the hotel and saw other people waiting for someone to come to the window. They waited and waited. Finally this guy pulls up in a van and comes out. He said he had to drop someone off at the airport. She told him, 'When I called earlier you said that there was no shuttle service because the driver was off.' He then says they need a 24 hr notice. She then explained that she made a reservation online. He says that the third party doesn't pay them and that the hotel is not accepting that reservation. He even told her that there were no more rooms. She explained that they had nowhere to go. He then tells her that she would have to pay AGAIN! They then go to the room. THIS ROOM WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! ROACHES everywhere, dirty sheets with cigarette holes, the chair was broken, the shower curtain was dirty and there was a hole in it, the refrigerator and microwave were filthy, the tv didn't work, the towels were dingy and dirty. The hotel nor the third party would give her a refund. We will be following up with upper management. Guys be careful, read the reviews. We are both definitely posting and sharing this experience. We later found out this is the worst part of town.

emergency stay. never again. choice website/app doesn't warn you that they charge $250 cash deposit, atm limit $200 +$3.50 atm fee not including your bank's. non-smoking room smelled musty at best, smoky at worst. tubs had debris in them. if the lobby is closed when you have to leave, good luck getting your deposit back. if you just need sleep and not a shower, just park at a rest stop.

Not to sure about the hotel. But whoever works the night shift at night around 10pm June 4 is lazy. I paid for the hotel with my reward points. 6000 points plus 17 dollars. The guy told me I could stay there for a 250$ cash deposit. If I had 250$ I wouldn't stay here. I feel as though it was discrimination. Lost my points and 17 dollars and had to sleep in my truck. Poor service. Really not sure how the rooms look. I'm getting tired of choice hotels not really caring when people take your money and points. Bout to find me a new hotel to subscribe to.

I recently booked a room at Econo Lodge Airport in Virginia and was extremely disappointed with my experience. As soon as I walked in, there was a strong smell of weed that was impossible to ignore. The room was also noticeably dirty and clearly not properly cleaned before my arrival. This is completely unacceptable for any hotel. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable stay.
