Beautiful hotel, quiet rooms, luxury linens and exemplary service. Many restaurant choices within walking distance but I would skip the hotel breakfast, the potatoes were very salty, the toast was hard and dry(premade?) and the omelet was very unbalanced with ingredient to egg ratio. We would stay here again if visiting KC in the future.

The hotel is a beautiful historic time capsule located in such a charming area. Tracee at the front desk was WONDERFUL she welcomed me with a big smile and made me feel like a VIP. She is hospitality and the hotel is timeless! Looking forward to coming back soon.

Nothing but good things to say about my stay here! By far the best hotel experience I’ve had in Kansas City. The front desk was phenomenal and responsive, the room service was quick AND delicious, and the hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous. The amenities were polished, clean, and there’s a classic charm that altogether made for a truly lovely staycation after an event on the plaza. The location is convenient and enjoying a drink on the patio before walking around was a nice way to start the evening. The suite was nice and roomy, and the jacuzzi was definitely my favorite part! ☺️Thank you, Raphael! Lots of love from a local💙@hairriet

Marriott sucks but Hilton rocks in customer service. The Raphael hotel as a Marriott hotel absolutely sucks in customer service. Few months ago one night when it’s really freezing outside after midnight I asked the front desk lady who’s black and wearing glasses if I could stay in the lobby and she rudely told me to leave and it’s for customers only but it’s pretty empty when I told the same to her she didn’t budge at all. This proves that they don’t care about people and morals but only about that green paper.

Staycation at the Raphael Hotel on August 10th.The Raphael is locally known for its charm and I will definitely say it has that, but it is very dated and there is a smell in the lobby that comes with older buildings.Limited parking is available on site. At check in you will receive a parking pass for you to put in your car window, so it doesn’t get towed. So be prepared to head back out to your car.Lobby is small, but they have an on-site bar with Live Jazz and a smooth Martini. Our room was was large but it was two doors away from the front desk and lobby, on street level. Some might like this, however I personally like to have my shades open letting the light in. We had to keep the shades drawn and could hear every car and person go past. Plus, I am not sure if it was the pipes screaming or our next-door neighbors having a good time. But, we actually ended up leaving early because I couldn’t comfortably go to sleep hearing people outside the windows.Location is amazing. Absolutely love how close the Plaza is, we were able to walk to our reservation at the Capital Grille in minutes.Overall, we probably won’t be back, the price did not match the quality.

Went to check in and two staff members at front waited for me to say anything. They should greet the customer first. Bought snacks there later and was rung up with staff member still on the phone. Called later to get copy of incidentals after I checked and staff member wasn’t in a helpful mood in the slightest and has no idea what the hotel manager’s last name was. Which I thought was kind of odd. The bartender and the guy that made omelets in the morning were both efficient and friendly. Front desk staff could take some pointers from them.

Restaurant was amazing and the bar tender was very personable. He suggested his favorite food orders and I chose one and it didn't disappoint. He was friendly and very happy in general. I love to come to a bar where the bar tender is friendly and willing to share their ideas and thoughts about favorite foods and drinks. Chris Loggins did this and went above and beyond by offering me an educational free shot because he is an educator, and I'm an educator. Good on Hilton for hiring such an amazing individual who cares about the people he is serving.

2.75 stars. Great location for going to a chiefs game or into town. Only about 25-30 mins from the stadium and downtown. A lot of other game attendees were staying here too. The breakfast was fantastic. The rooms were not the cleanest. I complained and they didn’t clean what I asked them to, so I did it myself. The beds were soft but older mattresses and only about 3-stars on comfortability. The room and carpet were old. Parking was easy and free.

We have been to this hotel for 9 years in a row for this conference. This time was amazing! So many were welcoming and willing to help out. Kristina was a joy as you entered and needed help up front, John Scott was around and wanted to walk thru when we got there to make sure all was okay. Karen Byers was amazing and very cheerful everywhere we saw her. She even took a moment to speak of her appreciation for our group being there. Then Eric he is my highlight of staying and making my wonderful omelets. Can't wait for next year. Even when a time schedule was off they were ready to figure it out.

Just wow! Excellent facility, room, amenities, and most importantly service. Our flight was cancelled twice and we were unable to get out of MCI. The staff, and particularly Kristina, went way above and beyond to make a very stressful situation infinitely less stressful. Kristina worked with us to allow us to finally get booked on another flight, and she even made sure we had a room in case we couldn’t. It’s service like that which makes me an Embassy Suites customer for life!

Our stay was excellent as usual. Very comfortable and your staff is top notch. We had a late arrival and Carter was at the airport with your shuttle in less than 10 minutes with exceptional service. Our check in was quick and friendly thanks to Kristi and Sabrina at the front desk. We enjoyed breakfast thanks to your Funny Chef making delicious omelets. And Hats Off to Dom and his staff in the bar- 5 star!!

This is an exceptional hotel. The ambiance and decor I would describe as comfortable and classy. I caught the tail end of breakfast. They had just turned the lights out but still allowed me to get something to eat. Out of nowhere this very helpful lady named Karen B. popped up and gave me the best service for a place that was shutting down. Thank you Karen. Although she was the one that stood out I must send kudos to the other staff members I came in contact with. Embassy Suites @ Kansas City International Airport, you have quality staff members there.

Excellent service by Maintenance Engineer, Steve, my daughter dropped an earring down the sink and he promptly came up to retrieve it. Kind, clean and quick. We were so grateful - the earring was a sentimental gift.Overall the staff is friendly. Breakfast is good & plentiful. The hotel decor is outdated (90’s style) & could be terrific with an update.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel, where the hospitality and guest service truly stood out. All the staff members were incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience very pleasant. However, I want to give a special mention to Karen, who worked during breakfast. She went above and beyond, going out of her way to find things we might want and ensuring we were comfortable. Her exceptional service and genuine care left a lasting impression. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations with its warm atmosphere and outstanding guest service. Highly recommend!
