⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐We recently had the most amazing experience at the Old Capitol Inn, where we are planning to have our wedding. From start to finish, everything has been seamless, thanks to Bruce, who has truly been a godsend. He went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect. Whether it was helping with the décor, logistics, or answering our endless questions, Bruce was always there with a smile and a solution. The venue itself is beautiful, but the service makes it exceptional. Highly recommend the Old Capitol Inn for any event, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Bruce assisting!

Stayed here when driving through from TX to NC. Perfect location, very comfortable rooms, beautiful courtyard & incredibly hospitable staff. Had a perfect light breakfast before getting back on the road. Will definitely make this where we stay when making this trip again.

I called ahead the day before to ask if it was necessary for us to make a reservation to have a lunch meeting. The person with whom I spoke enthusiastically stated he would be happy to have us (a party of 6). It was a first time for half of us, including a grad student from Harvard. We started with spinach and artichoke dips for the table and—OMG—it was the star of the show! While the menu stated it comes with crostinis, we THOROUGHLY ENJOYED the pita bread served with it!Everyone at the table ordered something different and there were NO COMPLAINTS. The waitress Tatiana (*sp) was great; she was attentive (with us and the patrons at 4 other tables) but didn’t hover. The Chef checked in on us to ensure we were enjoying our meals as well. The manager was accommodating when we desired to move from the dining area to some place quieter to have our meeting.I posted my entree and dessert on my IG story and people were replying before we even left.Overall, a beautiful experience. We were already discussing returning for future staff meetings, especially during the autumn so we can sit outside.Additionally, we checked out the ballroom, which they happened to be setting up for a graduation. It is GORGEOUS! If I ever get married, I would be delighted to have my reception there (and a cocktail hour in the courtyard).

Stayed here several days with my dad while Mom was in the hospital right down the road. The staff was tremendously helpful and so very nice. The room was clean and the breakfast very good. Not one person that worked there had a bad comment or scowl. If I'm back that way I would stay again for sure. Thank you very much!

The service here is outstanding! We booked the honeymoon package for a late anniversary. We were in town to see a show. The hotel is right down town and that made it convenient. The room was neat and tidy. There were a few minor things that needed fixing but nothing that inconvenient us. Upon check out the staff did ask if there was anything that needed fixed in the room. Which I was impressed with. We had breakfast delivered to our room. It came promptly at the time that we requested. The breakfast was good. My husband really enjoyed the biscuits. I would recommend staying at this hotel.

A very nice historical hotel. Great customer service from Princeton. Nice room. Only comment I would suggest is a small desk in the room. There is plenty of room to have one. The breakfast was good. A suggestion would to have hot oatmeal, also gravy to go with the biscuits. Pastries were delicious!!! The roof patio was not open. Would have liked to relax there. Great view from our room.

What I want to say is that the female staff at the front desk are great and their service is very enthusiastic. The boss must keep such serious and responsible employees. Knowing that my English is not good, I was afraid that I would book the wrong room, so I personally took me to see the room I wanted~ This stay made me feel their friendliness and the room was very clean... If I pass by here again, I think I will continue to stay here~

Horrible horrible horrible horrible GHETTO experience at this hotel! Never in my life experienced such horrible service!! Booked with who i thought was imperial suites reservations, and they said it was fine. Then, we pay 127 dollars over the phone. This guy Jojo said he was helping us, but none of it made sense. So this hotel planner charged us $127, then we get to the hotel, and we think it's for a king bed, and it's for two doubles in a crap room. so I went to Jojo he acted like he helped me he said all they had was that I paid $60 and I would have to call Expedia, when Expedia wasn't even the ones to book it, it was some place called hotel planner. So I spent about 2 hours trying to figure out, and we fought over $30, and i had been driving all day, so i just wanted to sleep. So all together, I end up paying 170 for this dingy hotel with these bright neon lights and just a horrible experience. They supposedly couldn't see that I paid the 127 on their end, but either way, they should have favored it. Also, they were rude as all get out in the morning when I asked for money back. He said I help you. Help me? More like steal from me?! Its sickening people treat people like this. Every time I asked for a manager, there was no one. On top of that, someone tries to come into our room at like 1 am. with a key because they switched our rooms THREE times and fave our room key to another couple! the people above us are stomping around, so we didn't sleep at all, and I have stayed all over the place and have traveled so many places and have never had such awful experience.I would never even recommend this to my worst enemy! Not to mention I have a service dog they said it was okay to bring her and then in the morning the guy JoJo is yelling at me, that i was not allowed to have the dog and he was trying to help me, yet i was told over the phone she was okay because she was a service dog, and he didnt say one thing about my dog through the night and was like i could have charged you 250.00, mind you none of this my fault, So how is that fair if two different people are telling me two different things?! This whole time the guy said he was part of Imperial reservations so when I booked it via phone call and I thought that was Imperial reservations and It wasnt and they couldn't help me at all and "it wasn't in their system" and proceeds to tell me that he would have charged me $120 if I had walked in and not made it over the phone, but on the phone i was told if i didnt make the reservation the price goes up when i get there. so it made no sense that he was charging me an extra $30 on top of the 127 I paid it was just an awful experience, and not to mention it was right before the holidays! NOT worth no 160!! I'm so upset and sick to my stomach how I was treated at this hotel. Other than JoJo helping me with the TVs, I literally am just so upset with how this whole situation went down and disgusted with how I was treated by them especially this JoJo kids trying to get loud with me in the AM, when all they are doing is stealing from you. It's not my fault that they did not receive information that I paid $127 and was told I could bring my service dog to their hotel, and I feel like I was being punished for something that was not my fault! It should have been favored by the hotel either way I was charged for it because they saw it in an email and bank statement and they still wouldn't favor, It's like none of them knew what was going on and they don't communicate, and i told them I wouldn't even have posted this had they just gave me $30 back. That is how cheap this hotel and every person that works here lives here, at this hotel and it felt like some weird stuff was going on as they were taking different cash deposits. Not to mention some of the women look let's just say riske and I wouldn't be surprised if they were running some type of ring through this hotel, definitely not trustworthy don't go here please do yourself a favor it's very very dangerous and disgusting and it's just not worth paying anything..

Honestly, I don’t have any issues with the experience. Starry sky on the roof over the bed, just wish I could’ve turned them off. Red lighting around the bed and shower area. Very sexy. Although many reviews thought it was dirty and unprofessional staff, our experience was opportunistic to say the least. Would definitely recommend for one night.

Firstly, the rooms appear to be nice when all of the lights are off and just their blue or red lighting is on…… when you turn the lights on you’ll see the place is actual filth. We booked a room for 2 guests, 2 night stay and only had 2 towels in the room. Called and requested fresh towels when we left at 6:30 am as well as clean mirror bc it was dirty when we came in last night.. came back at 3 pm and nothing had been done. I called back to the front and informed the lady of the requests and she got a horrible attitude telling me that the housekeepers are busy that they are right down the way I can go talk to them…. So I had to go myself to get fresh towels. Mind you I came back by myself, my bf is still working this lady had a man come knock at my door (stated he was the manager) and approached me with a very disturbing attitude and tried to pull me out of the room LITERALLY and kick me out. He tried to stop me from shutting the door but I was frightened and shut it immediately and locked it. Please save your money and do not stay here!!! These people who bought this place have some weird stuff going on, they all live on the property too. Really strange activity and vibes. Oh yeah btw this is BLOOD on the mirror, that’s why I requested it to be cleaned (which it should have been done prior to our stay). And then the “fresh” towels I went and got myself were stained, just disgusting. Also, the remote wouldn’t control the tv either they tried fixing that but couldn’t. From the looks of the other reviews and the same as I told him, their lack of housekeepers is an issue they need to handle as a business. Oh yeah, molded ceiling too.

This is single-handedly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. To start, they only take cash deposits which is incredibly dodgy off the bat. We then got into our room which was 87 degrees inside with an AC that hardly works. The shower also didn’t work and no matter which side you turned it to, it would get so hot that it would physically burn your hands. There was no remote for the tv and no sort of soap anywhere, not even to wash your hands with after using the restroom. There were burn marks in the sheets and the beds were stiff. The pillows were also so lumpy I’m in pain in my neck after waking up this morning. They also didn’t refill the toilet paper at all and the one extra roll we had was hidden underneath the counter of the sink and was covered in dirt. This was honestly one of the most dreadful travel experiences I’ve ever had and I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever been so upset as I was when I stepped foot into this room after a long day of traveling. As someone who is a seasoned traveler, this was a horrible experience and one like I’ve never had; and I mean that in the worst way possible. We almost left at 1 am and debated sleeping in our car because we thought we would be more safe and comfortable in there.
