We had a good stay at this hotel. The location is excellent if you want to visit Disneyland, as it’s within walking distance. However, if you’re planning to explore other parts of Los Angeles, be prepared for long drives.

One downside was that the rooftop bar was unfortunately closed during our stay, which was disappointing.

What truly stood out was the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. We were especially impressed by the hotel’s willingness to host people who had to be evacuated due to the wildfires in LA. This level of care and hospitality was remarkable.

Overall, a great option for those wanting to stay near Disneyland, with excellent service!

They are one of the best in my opinion. My daughter and I love the room. It was so beautiful and comfortable for us both. The staff was amazing too. I’m so happy that they helped my daughter find her ear buds and she was able to get them back. I thank the staff and the lady in security was so nice and helpful and she was very kind to us and we were very grateful for her being there. She awesome.

We have been to this hotel twice- we paid extra for executive club lounge access. We did this for multiple reasons including breakfast/ snack access. We also wanted to enjoy happy hour and lounge access for fireworks. Both times we were there they closed the lounge. The first time without warning it was shut down we were told for alternative use. On our last stay we had it shutdown for two thirds our stay again without warning. In their defense they did comp us a similar breakfast- but we lost our snack and happy hour. These rooms cost over 150$ more a night- when we discussed it with their team we were told a manger would contact us 3 times. We were never contacted - we had to wait in person on our last time to speak to someone. They kept my money but gave me bonvoy points- they don't accept bonvoy points in the real world. Fool me once....
There are several non Disney hotels that are newer and similar luxury level...save yourself the hassle. Or at the very least avoid any club or executive level offer- waste of Time

All the front-office stuff is nice but the rooms are more like two-star quality. Old, dinged up and the mattress was one size smaller than the bed base. Bathroom was new and nice. Having stayed at JWs elsewhere, this one is letting the brand down and not worth the money. The lounge was rubbish too. To add insult to injury, there is a $30 destination fee. Give the Courtyard around the corner a try.

We ended booking this hotel for our trip to Disney. Overall really solid hotel. Check in took a bit longer than usual and rooms weren’t ready until 4pm. I initially let the hotel know that I may be checking in early around 2pm. They sent me a confirmation and when we arrived at 3pm the room still wasn’t ready and was told they’ll call me once the room was ready. Waited for about 45 mins and saw everyone around me that checked in during the same time was gone. Decided to go to the front desk and Scott was able to take care of me.

The experience and encounter with every employee was warm and top notch service. As we pulled up valet and the bell service came out and assisted right away. Ordered food through room service and it arrived piping hot and took around 30-45 mins.

2nd and 3rd days, the room service crew didn’t get to our room until 3-4pm. Most of the hotels I’ve been to usually finish cleaning the rooms around 11-2pm so I found it a little odd.

We had a view of the garden and the shopping centers. We were still able to get the Disney firework views on the far right windows. Fireworks typically started around 9-9:30pm.

Valet parking fee is present ($65 a day)but price was reasonable, considering Disney parking is $70. They also gave us a $30 drink and food credit daily so that was a nice touch. Also complimentary EV charger and you can have the valet charge your car for you. Really nice touch to have. Also the app chat is super helpful for making requests.

I read a lot of complaints about the water pressure but during our stay it was fine.

Overall, I would consider booking again. Would highly recommend the hotel getting rooms cleaned a little quicker. Other than that, nice hotel overall.

We stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon while visiting Disneyland. This is a more upscale hotel, which was a really nice option. The location was great, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were comfortable. The club lounge was a really great option, too.

The hotel room was very clean. The sound proofing was great and you could not hear your neighbors. The only noise you could hear was children occasionally shouting in the hallway and fire truck/police sirens outside. Aside from that the hotel was very quiet. The building is also very beautiful and has some nice amenities like the 24/7 gym and Starbucks in the main lobby.

The staff were very kind, although it did take quite some time to get checked-in and the reception desk felt understaffed.

The hotel is in an excellent location with restaurants and a shopping center connected to the hotel. It is about a 10-15 minute to the entrance of Disneyland/California Adventure.

My room had a problem with the shower door seal that resulted in some of my clothes getting absolutely soaked. The hotel only offered to pay half of the laundry cost to dry it. For a “five star” hotel I think it’s quite frankly unacceptable.

I essentially had to aim the shower head a very specific way to be able to use it. Other than that it was a nice room but not the kind of service I expected.

Also not having any dryer or washer on premise is strange, considering the majority of guests are going to Disneyland.

Great family stay at the JW Anaheim for a Disneyland trip. It's an easy ~15 minute walk from the hotel to the main gate (can be shorter if you cut through the mall, but harder to do with a stroller), and was nice to get back to a nice hotel away from the craziness at the parks. Rooms are modern and clean (special thanks to Jessica Sandoval, our housekeeper for the week who did an excellent job). Staff very friendly and a solid club lounge for Bonvoy elites (rotated a few breakfast options which was appreciated for a longer stay). Nice pool deck, though limited shade, but fun to get food and drinks right from the lobby restaurant. Super convenient to have mall attached with easy options for dinner that are family friendly. Overnight parking is egregious and the resort fee questionable, but that is unfortunately the norm of late.

I think they give the good updated rooms to influencers only. The rooms we get every time we come do NOT look like the rooms those people stay in lol. It’s outdated, and old. We love the location, since it’s super close to the Disney entrance, but the rooms for us normal families need to be updated. It’s false advertising when they give a big show on the new and nice rooms for the content creators who advertise for them and then us families get stuck with the old outdated rooms.

One of the beds we laid on had some kind of powder detergent stuck on the sheets and our toddler got super itchy.

For the high rates they charge, it’s not the best but it’s the last resort for sure to stay. Wish they would treat all their guests like they treat the influencers. Because unlike them, we families pay good money.

We have stayed at the Grand Legacy at the park twice now. We have found it to be quite a loud hotel. The guy who checked us in had to check if the rooms were ready even though we checked in after 4pm. He didn’t seem to know what he was doing. The other time we stayed they gave us the cards for a room that was already occupied twice then we had to go back to reception again & again. Better to Stay at the desert inn or Anaheim hotel. This hotel is ok but there is better options out there.

If you can stay somewhere else…do it! We spent all of an hour maybe here, were due to stay 5 nights but it was awful.

Arrived early couldn’t check us in so we went away came back at 4pm, fair enough. However, once we got our room number it was down hill. It is not marketed at all appropriately this is a motel not a hotel. The rooms are small, considerably smaller than advertised, considerably more dated, dirty and dingy.

Our room smelt of weed. We have a two year old and this made me feel very uncomfortable. We immediately contacted the reception desk who said ok here is another room? From this response we are guessing this wasn’t new news to them. We didn’t visit the other room which was only a few doors down as we felt from their lack of investigating (was it the room, was it neighbour smoking weed etc) and the disparity between the website and the rooms in person we would go elsewhere.

We booked into a Disney hotel and fled asap. They have charged us for the first night, personally I think this is a joke. Yes they lost a booking and now have an empty room, but I am sure they could have flogged it to the next pothead that came through the door. The kindly acted like refunding us for the rest was doing us a favour.

I would not recommend staying here at all, because we didn’t but since they charged me for the first night I feel entitled to make a review.

We have stayed here for every Disneyland trip in the last 12 years or so. This time I was extremely disappointed. We stayed in a suite that was over $400 a night including tax and parking. The first night they had a party at the bar. The music was so loud it was vibrating our room and you could not even watch TV. It started about 7 and didn’t end until 11:30. Very annoying! The next day when we came back to our room you could tell housekeeping had been there but didn’t replenish the towels. I called for towels and it took over an hour to get them. The bathrooms have some mold and you are unable to adjust the flow of the shower head. The beds were never made. Speaking of beds they were hard as a rock. The pullout sofa that my daughter was sleeping on was so uncomfortable and she could feel the springs. She even had 3 layers of bedding underneath her. That didn’t even help. The elevator was down 3 times. Once when we were coming back from a long day at the parks. The boiler also had to be worked on so we were without water from 11-5 on Monday. We were truly disappointed in this visit and are going to try somewhere else for the next visit. I will say that the staff are very nice and pleasant.

I really dislike giving places a low star rating but when it’s necessary, I will. There are so many influencers advertising this hotel who get everything for free and don’t have the same experience as us normal people get. I paid $350 for one night under the impression that I could park my car here for free and I could just walk into the park. Well, upon check in I am told that parking cost money and they had to see if I could park more than 1 car (big family, so we need 2 cars). Then on the day we went to Disneyland, they wanted to charge even more for parking (IF) they had it available. There is no breakfast, customer service is hotel 6 quality, and the hotel is on the run down side. The only great thing this park has going for it, is the distance it is to Disneyland. I will never stay here again, nor recommend it. They give false advertisement on Instagram, chat, and over the phone.

Called me 2 hours before check in while my family is in the park to let me know they overbooked and couldn’t help me in any way. The location of hotel is great, the service not so much. This is a revamped motel. I booked online and was able to get a good deal booking in advance. Upon arrival at 3pm our room wasn’t ready, totally fine. There are a lot of restaurants and places walking distance to the hotel, but they basically said just come back later and check. The pool area is underwhelming, not as pictured on the website at all. I stayed 10/29-11/1, and still have not received an itemized receipt for my stay (my totals don’t match what I was charged) even after calling and emailing 3 separate times. I saw a random 3.00 charge, when I called they told me this was a “donation” I must have done during check in, but again they can’t provide me with documentation of said donation. They told me I would receive that refund (still haven’t). We never got cleaning service during the 3 days stay because they came so late in the evening when we were already resting. I actually had to call for clean towels and toilet paper. There are plenty of hotels nearby on the same street- def book there and don’t waste time here- the customer service and attention to detail are just lacking.

I stayed at the Grand Legacy October 27-29 as well is last spring. Both times I went our room wasn't ready by check in at 4:00 pm, so they put us in an ADA room. Which was fine, but the bathroom and vanity area were in the same place, so we couldn't have people getting ready while one is showering. The room is not what I expected, I had seen rooms featured on Instagram and didn't realize not all of it is updated, so the room was as nice as I expected. The A/C was very loud, so I called the front desk and they said they'd have someone come check it, we got back from they day and it was still noisy. Both times I stayed the ice machines weren't working. This last time I also left an item behind and called the hotel, they told me to send an email. I have sent three emails with no response. I have been disappointed in this hotel both times I have stayed. Other than the location, I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

Check in was great and even got us in early! But my only concern that this hotel paid for pest control. We had 2 cockroaches and 2 other bugs in our room. I have stayed at several hotels close to Disneyland and never have seen cockroaches. I know they love this weather, but for someone who isn’t used to seeing them it really shocked us. I know pest control can fix this issue. We also didn’t have room service. Won’t be staying here in the future.

It's a good location, but… they gave me a really bad room!!!! The bathroom lock didn't work!!! I made reservations to stay from 10/27 - 10/29 to enjoy my recent trip to Disneyland.
I heard about this place through the Disneyland website as a “Good Neighbor Hotel” and had booked this place thinking I would have no issues.
With my recent stay, found out I had book this place to stay twice. One through Expedia , the other directly through the website. Went through all my emails & could not find the first reservation so assumed I didn’t book one of them. With this issue I asked if there’s anyway I could get refunded for the room I’m not using as it was a mistake booking two rooms.
The young gentleman ( medium length black hair with a middle hair part) went to talk with his manager & he came back with telling me that I would have to pay for the nights stay because I’m cancelling the room. Reminding them of the mistake, I asked for the manager and Dora approached the desk telling me essentially she’s not going to help me and I’m paying the room charge 1 night of $279 regardless and walked away.
As you can imagine, I’m blindsided here because I was expecting her to be flexible since I’m still staying there for my trip anyways.
I checked in earlier in the day so I had to return. Once I returned, had a younger woman check me in. At no fault to her, Spent about 5 minutes in silence until she got me a paper that said i only booked 1 night and I had to pay for the room and a few other things.
I had to explain to her about the 2 nights, showed her emails, showed her charges on my accounts with “grand legacy at the park”.
So it seems like the gentleman put the wrong information on my early check in and made the rest of the check in experience challenging for not only me, for the front desk member as well.

While convenient to stay nearby, I don’t think Disneyland should be recommending this place as a Good Neighbor stay. With the challenges I faced I wouldn’t recommend this place to stay at all.

Honestly, this experience with the manager Dora & me being out $279 made me not have a magical time on my trip and I will not be returning here for future stays.

The Rooms, Location are top notch. They are clean and comfortable The check in process was the literal low point of our entire trip.
I'm unsure if it's because we used a 3rd party booking but literally we waited for our room and every group, family that came in had their rooms ready. We waited for 2 hours with no updates. So if you're coming- just plan on an official check in at 4:00 pm. Most hotels (and this one included) accommodate earlier check in but don't plan on getting an update as to when or any extra effort from the Front Desk Staff. They can't be bothered.

This was my second time staying at the Grand Legacy and I liked it even more! Both times we have stayed in a Luxury View room with 2 Queen beds. I could see the fireworks in Disneyland while lying in my bed! The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They come around every day to replace towels, toiletries, coffee, etc., anything you need. And you can’t beat the location! So close to Disneyland! The short distance to the parks is appreciated after being on your feet all day. The only place I’ll ever stay when visiting Disneyland.

Check in was very easy. The room was clean. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. No issues with noise. We didn’t take advantage of the pool, as we were literally only there to sleep and spent all of our time at Disney. Quick walk to the park’s entrance. Maybe 5 minutes. I would definitely recommend to anyone on a budget. Parking is a little tight but luckily we didn’t have to move our car much in the days we stayed there. They have a nice fruit infused ice water in the lobby.

Hands down the best value for a hotel in the area. The location is absolutely perfect for those visiting Disneyland and California Adventure. It is a short five minute walk to either, making it wonderfully easy to pop back for a break between the long days and festive nights at the parks. The pool is nicely maintained and very family friendly. Parking is very affordable and feels secure. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff has been wonderful and extremely accommodating, genuinely some of the best customer service I have experienced.

All that being said, this isn't a 5 star hotel but it definitely earned a 5 star rating.
