I made reservations to stay from 10/27 - 10/29 to enjoy my recent trip to Disneyland.
I heard about this place through the Disneyland website as a “Good Neighbor Hotel” and had booked this place thinking I would have no issues.
With my recent stay, found out I had book this place to stay twice. One through Expedia , the other directly through the website. Went through all my emails & could not find the first reservation so assumed I didn’t book one of them. With this issue I asked if there’s anyway I could get refunded for the room I’m not using as it was a mistake booking two rooms.
The young gentleman ( medium length black hair with a middle hair part) went to talk with his manager & he came back with telling me that I would have to pay for the nights stay because I’m cancelling the room. Reminding them of the mistake, I asked for the manager and Dora approached the desk telling me essentially she’s not going to help me and I’m paying the room charge 1 night of $279 regardless and walked away.
As you can imagine, I’m blindsided here because I was expecting her to be flexible since I’m still staying there for my trip anyways.
I checked in earlier in the day so I had to return. Once I returned, had a younger woman check me in. At no fault to her, Spent about 5 minutes in silence until she got me a paper that said i only booked 1 night and I had to pay for the room and a few other things.
I had to explain to her about the 2 nights, showed her emails, showed her charges on my accounts with “grand legacy at the park”.
So it seems like the gentleman put the wrong information on my early check in and made the rest of the check in experience challenging for not only me, for the front desk member as well.
While convenient to stay nearby, I don’t think Disneyland should be recommending this place as a Good Neighbor stay. With the challenges I faced I wouldn’t recommend this place to stay at all.
Honestly, this experience with the manager Dora & me being out $279 made me not have a magical time on my trip and I will not be returning here for future stays.
