I would like to start off by saying Scott from breakfast was absolutely awesome and made our stay a lot more enjoyable when he was working!Beware of one lady at breakfast, she is completely entitled. She will argue with you when you ask for simple things like turning the coffee machine on. She even got the GM Carolina involved. I'm absolutely baffled that she is doing a hospitality job because she's got no customer service attitude whatsoever. To be quite frank, we booked another reservation for next year at this same hotel - but we likely won't be coming back because of her.Housekeeping is mismanaged. The ladies seem miserable and we had to call to front desk a few times throughout our 11 nights to see if they're even coming still. And when they showed up they did the bare minimum (toilet wasn't cleaned until the last day).Even still, with some of the complaints we have, there was a lot of good about this hotel as well - which is why I still put 4 stars. The pool, the beach, the restaurants nearby. If only the staff was more pleasurable it would be 5 stars in my book.A gem and a shame at the same time is the best way to put it. The shame part mainly due to the attitudes of some of the staff.

Spent holidays here with two young kids. This hotel is perfect for a family especially with the morning breakfast. Rooms were cleaned daily and the staff here are genuinely happy and friendly people. Thanks to Scott and Bert for everything they did to make our stay pleasant.

Badass Vacation hotel right off the beach with a full on parking garage underneath it. Free breakfast every morning and it's a legit good breakfast. People are nice and the place is clean. Can't ask for more!

We booked our reservation 2 or so weeks in advanced for when we returned from our cruise. We had to get off the ship at 730 am and check in wasn’t until 4 so we called to see if there was any way we could check in early and turns out somehow our reservation wasn’t in the computer. The guy behind the counter his name was Conner he totally helped us out! He got us a room and let us check in at about 830 am it literally made my day and took so much stress off of me. Plus with the complimentary beach chairs they offer allowed us to chill at the beach for hours with some nice chairs. Connor is a legend I enjoyed this hotel would definitely stay here again

Great location for access to beach and walking. The rooms and breakfast area were extremely clean, but the hotel seems a little bit tired. Scott at breakfast was definitely the highlight of my stay. He walked around greeting everyone with a friendly smile, checking if you needed anything and cleaning tables. He is a wonderful ambassador for the hotel.

Our family (3 kids) stayed 2 nights and it was the most disappointing BW hotel I've been to. The pull out bed was old and awful. Front desk staff acted annoyed. They advertise bikes to borrow on the website but dont actually have them. Breakfast staff were helpful and upbeat. Pool was fun & location was close to the beach.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this hotel! NO RESORT FEE! Delicious Hot & Cold Breakfast Buffet. HUGE Buffet, 2 different meats, scrambled eggs, and another hot dish that changes daily, hard boiled eggs, tons of toppings for the bagels, breads that we offer, 3 waffle makers and several cold cerals, yogurt with toppings and of course coffee. Every room has a coffee maker, mini fridge and a microwave. The Island Bar & Grill is right next to the outdoor swimming pool. Only 100 yards to the beach and if you need a gym they have that too. This hotel has charm like no other Best Western Plus's you have experiences. Big windows to let in the sunlight. It also very convenient to get to, no waiting in beach traffic and shuttle service is available for a minimum fee. Hands down BEST Ft. Lauderdale BEACH Hotel!!!! And I've been to many of them.

We stayed here for about a week (mid October) recently. Decent price, but building needs a bit of tlc. It’s in a great location, very close to beach & walking distance to restaurants. The room on the 3rd floor was a bit musty, but when we were relocated to the 2nd floor what a difference! This room had sliding doors, large sitting area & easy pool access. Many options for breakfast with helpful staff. Friendly place, Scott was very welcoming & knowledgeable about the area.

Although there were renovations at the time of our stay, we couldn't hear any noise (Friday all day and Saturday which is probably normal). We arrived around noon and our room was already available which was appreciated. Cost of life is quite expensive in Fort Lauderdale but this was the most affordable hotel to be directly on the beach. I would go back.I had a communicating room so we could hear a lot from the other room but nothing from the other side. We were family so it was no problem but it might be different if that would have been a stranger.

Great location, a short walk to the beach, the pool was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The rooms were very clean and nice. The beds were incredibly comfortable. There was minimal night-time noise. The continental breakfast was INCREDIBLE. It was hands-down the biggest and best continental breakfast I've ever seen, and they even had gluten free bread! I'd definitely visit again!

We spent the night at this hotel following our cruise. We arrived early and Hubert at the front desk was very engaging and assisted us with storing our luggage while we waited for Check in. Scott at breakfast was very personable and welcomed us to much needed coffee in the breakfast station. Robert at the front desk provided suggestions for activities (such as the water taxi which was such fun and recommended Coconuts for an excellent seafood dinner). We enjoyed a cocktail at the bar where we met the bartender Dayna, from Jamaica was very engaging and prepared excellent cocktails. The location was near to the beach, restaurants, shopping and the walkway in front of the beach. It was near the Cruise port and the airport. It was clean and the room was comfortable, but the staff was exceptional- making an enjoyable stay. The breakfast was very tasty and had a good variety of hot and cold breakfast foods. Looking forward to staying there in the future, especially as a cruise port hotel.

We love this hotel! Definitely will be back here next year. Great place for a family! Close to the beach, parking only $20 a day, delicious breakfast, a safe, a microwave and a refrigerator are in the room, awesome pool and very nice staff. The only inconvenient moment was using the laundry machine. One day many vacationers decided to do laundry, including us; so, we had to wait 2 hours to get our laundry done. BUT that was only 1 day; other days there was no line/waiting time at all. 🙂

I'm confused how this hotel is so highly rated. Perhaps it is the "luxury experience" facade this property puts on. Maybe this is the low-standard in this city.I travel for work, and have stayed in much nicer and much more refined lower-tier properties. The hotel is desperately in need of improvements. In fact, many lower-tier Marriott properties blow this place out of the water for a quarter the cost/points.Leaking plumbing, drains that back up, shower doors that don't align with the wall and make a terrible grinding noise, just to name a few. Oh, and if you fill your tub you'll discover the water is yellow-green because they don't take the time to treat their water per their own maintenance.Like wearing robes with holes in them? This place is for you. I've stayed at true luxury properties, and this is not one.I've stayed at Courtyards and Marriott Hotels that are much nicer. Seriously. Yes, the service is great. Yes, the location is great. The rooms, value, and experience, not so much. There are many other and better options in the area.Edit: Just discovered the mini-fridge wasn't even functioning when grabbing a water bottle. What a joke.

So when staying at a hotel cost $800ish a night and a five star hotel you’d think this would be a seemingly relaxing experience but let me tell you this was a crazy ride at this hotel. To give credit to the valet people, bellhops and specifically Richard at the pool bar that made it better the experience was unexpectedly bad. After a night out the first night we came to our room really for the first time since getting ready and checking in we were greeted with about 500 little bugs all around the room. I’ve lived in Florida my whole life and NEVER seen this at a hotel or ever. It was disgusting and also 1 am. They tried to blame it on the balcony but we hadn’t even open it and they told us they were aware of the issue. Ok so why are the rooms still $800??? They moved our room at 1 am and we were put in a room that had no sheets. We called the front desk again and they assured us they’d bring the sheets but DID NOT. They ended up comping our food charges that’s was prob 100 dollars max. We ended up sleeping at 2 am with no sheets. It felt very bare minimum. The food at this hotel was not even that high quality and definitely over priced to be expected but not great I am talking 30 dollars for French toast and 35 dollars for a Cesar salad. The price didn’t match the experience. As well as general Miami chaos there was a night when police men rushed into the hotel with rifles that was very much scary. Also we ended up getting stuck at the property before we could check in to a different ritz Carlton in Miami. We stored our bags on property and they ended up losing my makeup bag and it wasn’t recovered and I went the rest of my trip without the makeup which I’m sure was worth over 500 dollars easy in makeup and 2 YSL perfumes that cost prob 200-300 dollars. They told me to fill an incident report and would call me back I had to call probably 10 times to get the information if they found it.

Worst pillows ever! Stayed there 4 nights, cost me $5000 and I slept like absolute crap. Don’t try and shower at 7am either because there is no hot water. They also close the jacuzzi down at dusk so if you have a bad back, forget spending a few minutes at night trying to relax. Overall disappointed.

I stayed here for my anniversary and everything was perfect. The room was amazing, clean and spacious. We were right next to the pool and spa which was perfect for us because we wanted to do a spa weekend. The couples massage was lovely, I highly recommend. Jacob in the front desk was extremely helpful and kind to us. We needed a HDMI cable and they sent one down immediately. Jaime from the pool area was outstanding he was super attentive to us. I mentioned to him that it was our anniversary and he set up a lovely gift of champagne and a platter for our celebration which was extremely thoughtful of him. JC from the pool area also was always checking in on us by the pool making sure we had everything we need. I will definitely be back. Iv been to a lot of hotels and the service alone in this location sets them apart from all others. I appreciate the hospitality and the lovely memories.

The hotel is showing its age and would benefit from updates throughout the building and in the guest rooms. Unfortunately, the experience did not align with the expectations of a 5-star property. While most of the staff were friendly and welcoming, there were instances where attentiveness could be improved. The views from the balcony are impressive, and the location is convenient. Additionally, the restaurant, Burlock Coast, provided an excellent dining experience with outstanding customer service. Overall, there are both strengths and areas for improvement that the hotel should consider.

I brought my daughter to Fort Lauderdale for the Taylor Swift concert. We did not stay at the Ritz but I booked us a spa day for the day after the concert. I have gotten a massage here before and it was a good experience. This time was less than satisfactory. Our massage therapist were great, but the spa front desk person was ambivalent at best about our arrival and experience. For the amount of money I paid for two massages ($800), I think the Ritz should allow access to the pool for the day. We were allowed to sit at the bar at the pool but were told we could not get lunch at the lounge chairs unless we were guests. The pool was practically empty and it did not make sense that we could not enjoy the sunshine At most spa resorts, spa guests are afforded access to the full amenities for the day. We would have spent considerable money on drinks and food had we not been relegated to second tier status. I am a long time Marriott loyalist and this was very disappointing. Especially taking my daughter on her birthday trip.

They classify this as a five-star hotel So this review is written to answer the claim of that standard, I'm sorry but it is not 5 star. Let me start out by giving compliments where they are due, the staff was tremendous. They were courteous attentive and did a fantastic job all around. The rooms are second rate, including the suites. Worthy of four star at best. The hotel is in need of a makeover. Beyond that, the robes are the same quality you would get at a Holiday inn and do not even reach your knees and are made of terrible material. No slippers in the room (a basic for a five-star hotel), very low quality soap and shower products and very low quality hair dryer. At a five star resort you expect certain things and the quality of their products does not live up to the name Ritz. Spa was enjoyable however very small (men's side one toilet). Quality of spa services was good. Location is good and right on a beautiful beach. When in a five star resort that is this expensive I expect nice robes, slippers, high quality room, high quality bed sheets and blanket, high quality shower and bath products and this property is lacking all of the above I'm sorry to say.

I recently had the pleasure of being assisted by Cheryl at the front desk during my stay at the Ritz Carlton, and her service was nothing short of five-star. From the moment I arrived, Cheryl was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. She handled every detail of my stay with professionalism and care, ensuring that my experience was seamless and enjoyable.Cheryl’s dedication to excellence truly stood out. She went above and beyond to accommodate all of my needs, addressing every question and request with a smile. Her knowledge of the hotel and surrounding area was impressive, and she provided excellent recommendations that made my visit even more special. It's clear that Cheryl takes great pride in her work, and her commitment to providing top-notch service reflects the high standards of the Ritz Carlton. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional hospitality. Thank you, Cheryl, for making my stay unforgettable!
