We stayed at the HoDo for our wedding at the end of December 2024, while hosting a social downstairs at the Blarneystone First Avenue bar - we could not have been happier! from the time we checked in until the time we checked out, every staff member was happy, accommodating and willing to go above and beyond for everyone that was staying there. We are local to Fargo, however we will definitely be back and will be our first recommendation to those needing hotel accommodations when visiting our area. Kudos to the entire staff for making our stay far more than we expected!

Fantastic hotel. Under new ownership... Blarney stone, but the place is a gem. And great location downtown. Walking distance from all that downtown Fargo has to offer. Plus if you wanna tie one on you only have to go downstairs to blarny stone.... No driving required. If you get the time you can also visit the rooftop that has an amazing view of the town.

WOW! WOW! One of the best IF NOT the BEST Hotels i've stayed in!A beautiful 17 room - 2 Floor property in historic building in PERFECT downtown Fargo! The Donaldson has definitely just risen to an annual traditional stay! Im left speechless!Parking: Free Street, or local lots. Valet $15/nightEntry level: Blarney Stone Bar/RestaurantStayed here the weekend after Christmas 2024. Entire experience was a DREAM.Check in PHENOMENAL. The host Susanne should be teaching seminars on how to check in guests, GIVE THIS GIRL A RAISE!Was immediately greeted with a glass of wine and snacks. Check in was a breeze. Was fortunate enough to score street parking, YAY!The Room was...A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Huge square footage, exposed brick walls, luxurious linens, Rainfall shower, Mini bar, and PET FRIENDLY!I have no criticisms to give! Never have I found a property that checked ALL the boxes!X-Easy parkingX-Easy check-inX- Bar & food. On siteX- Free WiFiX-Perfect downtown locationX-Huge spaceX-Room serviceX-PET FRIENDLYDo NOTHING different!

I was pleasantly surprised the rooms were very nice and had a rustic feel. The downside is the check-in, and although the heat warms the room, it doesn't reach the bathroom, and it gets cold in Fargo.
We attended an event at the Fargo Theater and needed a place close by (with in walking distance) to stay for the night. Location was great! The walk back to Hotel Donaldson at night was a little sketchy as we had to walk past a "central park" with some---activity happening. You can risk parking on the street and the bank parking lot next door is patrolled for violators so we opted for valet parking for an extra $15 offered by the hotel. We had a corner room and the bed was.....WOW!....COMFORTABLE! There are some products in the room for purchase as well as in the reception lounge....like white ROBES! Unfortunately they were out of my size however they did offer to order me one and have it shipped to my home. There is a bar lounge and restaurant down stairs on ground level and lots of other food and shopping around the area. Overall, we would do it all over again. One draw back, the shower hand held points out of the shower and when turned on with the door open sprays the floor. Very clean room and very comfortable.

Rooms were great but some front desk employees are a mess. Without getting in more details, I can only say that they don't cater to the guests needs

Attended a wedding reception here. The food was okay (London broil was a bit cool and had very visible veins running thru it - my son wouldn't finish it and the baby carrots we're kind of mushy). The area set aside for the dance floor was quite small. Large room with lots of space though! Addendum: Attended conference area for a professional discussion/presentation. The area was well appointed . The meal was prepared well and very good. The narrow conference tables were appropriate for the type of event, but with the tablecloths hanging the way they were, many people upon sitting would accidentally hit the support bar while sitting down which would jar the tables and spill various drinks all over.

The attention to detail is what sets Hilton Garden Inn Fargo apart from similar hotels. The room is clean, spacious, modern and there's a little yellow lucky greeting you in the shower. The best part is the pool/hot tub area. It's well-maintained with towels laid out neatly and fun decor unlike other hotels where the walls are bare.We had the hot tub to ourselves. The indoor swimming pool is heated and made for a really comfortable swim.Highly recommended.

One person can ruin EVERYTHING! Will never go back!1. Leisure in Fargo for two days.2. All the four front desk staff were very kind and helpful! When I reported an issue, the first one I reported to left a note, and the next shift actually read the note and informed me. The issue was fixed within 5 hours since the point of reporting. 5 stars for them!3. The location is great, close to Mall and restaurants and shopping centres.4. gym and swimming pool quality is also high.5. Plenty of free parking space.6. Room is clean and I heard no traffic or what not during the night.HOWEVER, Diane, ruined everything, she kicked my friend and I out from the dinning area, WITHOUT saying hi or any basic greeting as an employ of HILTON, come on, I was warmly greeted by many employees from all various positions at all different Hiltons. She was VERY rude! When I approached her to ask name, she gave me that "I don't care about anything coming out your mouth" look.Later on I learned that she is Head of ....service, I was surprisingly shocked! I don't not know how she got promoted with that attitude towards customers. I HATE to mention I am Asian, but I cannot think of any other reason why she treated us like that!As a Silver member, I was VERY disappointed !!!If you go to Fargo, try other Hilton locations. There are several choices.

Excellent hotel option in Fargo. My first time staying at a Hilton variety hotel and I would stay again. Large rooms, high ceilings, pool and workout rooms. No free continental breakfast, but there is a restaurant in the hotel; we did not use the hotel restaurant, but the food looked great. We stayed two nights for a wedding and were very impressed with the Hilton-hosted reception. Food was delicious, ballroom was spacious and well decorated, plenty of kind and attentive staff.

We booked the Hilton Garden Inn with Morgan Needham for our wedding ceremony and reception and she was incredible to work with! She did an amazing job answering our questions throughout the entire planning processing and really brought our vision to life. She and her team made the entire day so smooth and absolutely exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend going with their decor packages, it took a lot of stress and coordinating off of our plate. The food was so delicious too, everyone was very well fed! Many of our guest complimented us on everything that the Hilton provided! Thanks to Morgan and team for help making our day so special!
