We had a wonderful two nights here. We splurged on an oceanfront room and it was worth it--we had a stunning view of Haystack Rock with comfy chairs in the room and on the balcony to enjoy the view. Our room was spacious and very clean. There are free snacks in the room and free cookies in the lobby in late afternoon. Beach chairs are stacked at the bottom of the stairs to the beach.

Note that there is no restaurant or cafe on the premises. There are quite a few restaurants and shops within walking distance, but it's a hefty climb from the street back to the hotel. Also note that, like almost all hotels on the Oregon coast, there is no air conditioning, but there's a fan and a small window over the sliding glass door. Finally, note that this is an older facility. Rooms have outside entrances and the property is not enclosed. That said, we felt perfectly safe.

Two tips to make the most of your stay. First, check the tides table and go to Haystack Rock an hour or two before low tide to check out the tide pools. There will be signs and volunteers--it's like a real-life aquarium museum and fascinating.

Second, get the Hallmark's s'mores package. You'll get everything you need for a quintessential Cannon Beach experience: building a mini bonfire on the beach, toasting marshmallows, and making s'mores. Everything you'll need is included--even wetnaps to clean sticky fingers! It was a highlight of our Oregon roadtrip.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and their Oceanside rooms are great. They have a bath in some of the rooms that’s kind of like a Jacuzzi so you can look out onto the ocean as you sit in the bath, which is really nice. The rooms were great and spacious. Also, the staff was very helpful. The one thing I will say that the balconies were kind of weird because you could see into other people’s balcony and you were so close that you were almost obligated to make conversation if you were out there.

I've stayed here many times over the years, and it's always been great. Clean, comfortable rooms with nice oceanfront balconies with great views of Haystack Rock. There's a lot of attention to details in what they provide.

I know marijuana is legal in Oregon, but we should not have to deal with the smell at a non-smoking resort! This is our second time staying at Hallmark, and will most likely be our last. We gave it another chance after a few years and experienced the same issue. The rooms have no ac and we open the balcony doors to have cool air and to hear the ocean. Both times we have had someone below us smoking marijuana which comes into our patio and room. We call the front desk to complain and they say they will deal with it. They have told us that marijuana is strictly prohibited. I know you can’t control guests, but it is extremely frustrating!

Stunning view, easy access to the beach, jacuzzi in the room, and front row seat for a gorgeous sunset. We also went to elements but the sea for a couples retreat package and it was so relaxing. This hotel is dog friendly which I love! The dogs all look like they enjoy their stay too 🐾

Worth the money. Some of the rooms have newer interiors and some are older flooring. . But the location can’t be beat. The views stunning. You can buy firewood kits and S’mores kits 24/7 at the front desk and head to the beach. There are beach chairs you can use. They have free bikes to use. Swimming pool, gym. Free bottled water and fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. Super friendly staff. Amazing beds and pillows. This is our 4th time here.

I can count on one hand the amount of reviews that I’ve ever given, but after staying at Hallmark during our road trip up the 101, I’d be doing a disservice to people looking for places to stay in Cannon Beach if I didn’t.

From the first day of making the reservation, it’s clear that they are invested in the people who stay at their resort. From check-in where delicious, fresh cookies were available to the front desk agent asking how our travels were so far, I felt right at home. The room was perfect and just the right size with windows that were able to be opened to welcome in the fresh ocean air. The accommodations they provide by offering bikes to view the area are amazing as well as beach chairs, beach blankets, and firewood for purchase to sit on the beach during sunset (12/10 recommend this. One of the best nights of my life!).

Cannot say enough good things about this place and can’t wait to go back to visit again. Do yourself favor and book this wonderful hotel.

A story book stay! Absolutely breathtaking views! The staff are incredible! Our ocean front suite was fantastic. The level of service was incredible. We had no issues or complaints. We arrived to a perfect suite with a complimentary gift, a snack basket and a bottle of sparkling bubbly to celebrate a special occasion in our refrigerator along with a sweet card. They offer fresh baked cookies every evening as well. The views of Haystack Rock are spectacular since this resort is directly across from it. My second stay at this resort and I look forward to coming back soon!

First time visiting the Inn at Cannon Beach. The hotel itself is in a great location and the exterior is very beautiful. The interior of the room fell short and could use some updating. I personally was uncomfortable throughout the night as the room had no air conditioning, only a fan. For the price paid, I do not believe it is worth it. I was disappointed. Front lobby was very nice and friendly and offered cookies. However for me, the room is what is so important.

WOW!! We absolutely loved our stay. The front desk was wonderful, the rooms were spacious and clean, and it was an adorable property. Plus, they set us for a cheap price to have a fire on the beach w complimentary blankets, beach chairs and the best cookies anytime you ask for them!! Plus, our family loves the complimentary breakfast with gluten free options! Jesus, working the front desk, was exceptional, so I formative , helpful, and pleasant!

This place is amazing and I cannot say enough good things about it. My wife and I are already planning a return trip. Upon checking in, the staff is very friendly and does a great job pointing out everything the Inn has to offer. They have complimentary fresh baked cookies, which the kids loved, as well as complimentary microwave popcorn that you can grab when checking out one of the free DVDs in their large selection. They also have a great selection of board games. The room was clean and well appointed with mini fridge and microwave. We had a king and there was the sofa sleeper for one kid and we got a roll away, for $20/night, for the other. While staying on the coast, sometimes rooms have a tendency to smell musty but the rooms here have none of that. There is a complimentary continental breakfast which has great offerings. We were also able to use the large room in the evening to bring our own food and set up for some extra space.

One great treat they also offered a free BBQ on Saturday for lunch offering hot dogs, cheeseburgers, sodas, pasta and potato salads, bags of chips and watermelon.

It is a short walk to the beach, maybe two blocks, and the road to cross has slow moving traffic and not much of it. The Inn does not have a restaurant but there is a pizza place across the street along with a coffee shop and bakery. Next door there is also a pub/restaurant.

This place exceeded all our expectations. The property is very quiet and beautiful. There is free parking around back right by the rooms and they offer so many complimentary bonuses. To be honest I can’t think of one thing that was a negative.

We had a disappointing experience at the Inn at Cannon Beach. We were mistakenly given keys to a room at check in that was already occupied. Our family walked in on someone who was in bed. It was an upsetting situation for all parties. The front desk was dismissive when we reported it (saying “things happen”), and, though we were moved to another room, it wasn’t the one we reserved. The whole experience left a bad impression. On top of that, the hotel is farther from downtown than others — not walkable to most shops or restaurants and not as close to Haystack Rock as pictures suggest. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel. If you do stay here, use the top lock so no one walks into your room like we did.

My family and I loved our experience at the Inn on Cannon Beach. The rooms were impeccably clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfasts were good. You couldn't ask for a better location. We were literally a two minute stroll to the beach and a two minute stroll to a grocery store. All the restaurants and downtown Cannon Beach were just a quick drive away. Ecola State Park is also very close via car. Easy access to everything. They even have fresh-baked cookies daily, along with coffee and tea. What's not to like? Highly recommend!

We had a great two night stay at the Inn at Cannon Beach during our trip to Oregon. Our room was clean, comfortable and inviting. The property was well maintained and the location was great. Short walk to the beach and Haystack Rock was within walking distance as well. The complementary breakfast was superb! Plenty of special touches. Highly recommend!

We booked this trip for our Anniversary. Our first time in Cannon Beach. The Inn at Cannon Beach was a great choice for us. The staff was friendly and welcoming at Check in, and the homemade cookies were really good! The property was clean and well manicured. The room was amazing and clean it felt like home! Not to mention the beach was a 5-10 walk, we got there just in time for the great weather and amazing sunset!
