The Country Inn is very old fashioned. The rooms are comfortable but could use some updates.
There were no blackout curtains so a lot of light came in at night from lights around hotel.
The hotel is from another time, you use big brass keys for your hotel key.
The front desk staff are nice and helpful.
We were in the old part of the Inn and there’s no elevator so you will be carrying your stuff up stairs.
The section of newer rooms and the spa area elevator was out for two weeks with more time expected for repairs. So again, be aware of that if you’re going soon.
The spa is very nice but up several steep flights of stairs.
The hotel has front porch rockers, a garden area and lobby seating as well as a lounge type room with comfy seating.
It’s immediately next door to the state Park where there’s Roman Baths, a place to fill your jugs or bottles with spring water, a public pool and state run spa.
Reservations are needed anywhere you go spa wise, as well as at the hotel restaurant. Which was quite good.
The hotel is in town and everything is a short very walkable distance away, shops, cafes, restaurants, the springs museum and bath house/spa and pool etc..
Note though… shops and restaurants have weird days off, so check their websites or call ahead. Many things closed Tuesday and Wednesday others Monday and/or Tuesday some only open on weekends.
