Where do I start? First, I guess I would like to know how people gave Town House Inn more than 1 star. Do they have secret rooms that they save for people that agree to give them more than 1 star? I really don't know but something is going on with the people who give this place good reviews. If there were a contest for what hotel was the most ghetto, this would definitely be the most is the ghettoiest

The bed was good and comfy, the shower was great: hot with great pressure. The rest leaves room for vast improvement. One night of the rest on a trip is ok for a price. There is a big parking lot for one with a camper or trailer.

Filthy room .. no toilet paper and none available after asking, dirty towels, rings around tub , dirty walls, dirty carpet, cracked walls, light fixtures are disgusting, couldn’t even sit down because the chair had all kinds of dirt . No heat and a very rude front desk . Never again and they overcharged my card which better be put back Asap

I held this review back but I think the public should know:

We booked a room for 2 nights at the Townhouse Inn in Cape Girardeau for Oct 18 -20, 2024 through bringFido/bookings.com
In short...Don't Do It!

The rooms are not clean, black mold growing in the shower, the exhaust fan in the bathroom sounded like a helicopter (only to spread more mold spores), holes punched in the wall and door jam, and mouse traps outside the door- to name a few issues. I have pictures.

And, Don't book through bringFido/bookings.com because they don't have your back if there is a problem and will not get your money back. They use a third party booking company that you can't contact directly.

When we arrived, the gentleman that checked us in was nice and efficient.
We went to room 112. All I can say is that the room is unhealthy and not safe. (see description above)

I took pictures and showed them to the man that checked us in. He seemed surprised.
He, Mike, moved us to room 110.
Equally, disgusting. The tub had a serious textured rim of filth and again, mold on the ceiling and holes in the walls.

Luckily, there was a last minute cancellation at a nearby Airbnb that I able to nab within 20 minutes after moving our luggage into room 110.
I went to the front desk to say "we can't stay here!" Mike, the manager, immediately refunded our $50 pet fee- which was separate from out room charge, and said he would give us a full refund $149.19.

Many phone calls to Townhouse Inn in Cape Girardeau and bringFido have been made.
We are still waiting for the refund- almost 3 months, now.
Apparently, the manager has to send an email to bringFido/bookings.com to release our money.
They say Mike is dodging their calls from bringFido and not responding to their emails to process the full refund.
Sadly, Mike seems to be out of the office, now, when I call.

This is bad business on many points.
The rooms are not safe.

The rooms are about what you would expect for the price. They are clean and comfortable which is what I want in a room. The staff was friendly and did their jobs well.

this place is disgusting. There were roaches in my kid's bed and carcass in the mini fridge!! totally unhelpful all they would do is move our room. No compensation at all for the unsanitary conditions and potential of taking nasty ass bugs home in my belongings.

There are holes in the wall, one outlet is put in sideways, trim pieces of of the walls, toilet moves when you go to sit down, cracks in wall and ceiling. Other then those issues the room is clean

Room was filthy! Shower head was moldy, pink bacterial ring around tub drain, layers of scum on tub, short hairs on linens, dirt handprints on wall, a blue pill found on carpeted floor, mattresses worn out on metal box springs, maintenance issues etc. Front desk did nothing, no apologies, and offered no solution other than to tell them upon check in. Note we were told they were sold out and we quickly checked in dropped our bags off and headed to a softball tournament. We came back late with only 1 person on staff who was unable to control loud rambunctious guests running through halls past midnight and was of no help nor solutions. Left with no other choice, we tried to clean the room ourselves with no help from staff but managed to get pink bacterial ring and some mold off from tub. Rates were $85+/night via best online price and def NOT WORTH IT!

This place is amazing, hands down the best place my husband and I have ever stayed at. They are adorable, have great free breakfast and we are really impressed on the privacy we have gotten. Also, they have the best staff. ALL Staff is amazing, very nice people! I would recommend this place to anyone. It's not the closest to town but it is in between Jackson and Cape which is convenient.

I'm a very active member of choice rewards.one of the main reasons I use them is because I stay at hotels almost nightly and they never charge a deposit. Which we all know takes 7-10 days to go back on my card. Well this one charges a deposit so beware! Would defiantly recommend you staying at any choice hotel besides this one!
