The hotel was ok. I just don't like them begging for tips in the room. It's like pan handeling me for tips. Not very tasteful for a Marriott. Why can't you pay the housekeepers more instead of printing all the tip signs? Parking was also too expensive. They also gaslit another lady in the reviews saying that all the king bed rooms have sofas. Our king room did not have a sofa....

This was a really nice hotel in downtown Lincoln. It's within walking distance of everything downtown, Haymarket Rail Yard areas. Memorial stadium is an easy walk for game day too.
The room was clean and the hallways were quiet. Some noise from outdoor construction, but not the hotel's fault.
I'd definitely stay here again.

This hotel is in the best location. The Haymarket has a lot of restaurants, Bars and shops within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We did the valet parking where we called before going downstairs and the car was ready. The bar had great drinks. The rooms were very clean and if you needed new towels they would bring the right up. We were there for a football game and the stadium was a short walk.

I requested a king size room with a sleep sofa. I had it confirmed for this week. When I got to The reception area they were nice enough gave me my key. I was fine. Until I went to the room to discover that it was just the king size bed with no sofa bed. Therefore, my son had no place to sleep. The room was not going to work, besides it was not the room that was confirmed and booked back in January 2024.
When I went downstairs to the reception area with my son and told them that they put me in the wrong room and showed them on my phone, the confirmation for the king size bed with the sofa bed, they told me that they cannot put me in the room that I secured back in January because there’s a concert tonight and the hotel is completely booked. The room I got is the room I did not ask for. When I asked the lady where is my son going to sleep, she looked at me and said I’m sorry there’s nothing I can do.
Needless to say, I started what supposed to be a joyful occasion (My son‘s graduation) I was furious. Why bother taking reservations for a room eight months in advance just so when you get to the hotel they give you what they give you and you have to be OK with it. I felt like I wasn’t a priority or of any importance to them. Extremely disappointed in this experience.

EDIT: In response to the owner. Yes. I was there. My name was in the system. I did not imagine my experience. Photos attached.

Impressed by the friendly attentive staff at the cafe that serves breakfast. We ate there twice and they were so nice and efficient both times. Tried the breakfast burrito, bfast bowl and bfast sandwich- all very tasty.

The room was very clean and had no issues with the bed or shower. Glad they don’t have plastic single-use toiletries and use dispensers in the showers instead. Wished there was some lotion, but not a big deal.

I recommend this hotel and would stay again.

There's a fun Tuesday trivia and tacos for happy hour at the Barred Owl, the hotel's top floor lounge. It has a huge patio and expansive views. We didn't stay at the hotel so I can't comment on the rooms but the friendly staff greets you at the door, there's beautiful decor in all the public areas, and everything is very clean.

If you are in Lincoln, perhaps you are wanting a little taste of what us Nebraskans refer to as the good life. If that's the case and you are around for thr university experience...this hotel is an absolute must. The service from the very start to the finish and modernization of the rooms is the utmost of quality. only negative I could find is there are no microwaves in the rooms. Other than that its a full big red vibe here.

This was my first stay, and based on the pictures, I underestimated the location. It’s actually in an industrial area, and unfortunately, there was quite a bit of an unpleasant smell around. For $270 a night plus $20 for street parking, I expected better overall service—it really didn’t feel worth more than $150.
That said, the hotel does have a cool vibe and the interior design is very well done, which was a nice highlight.

This is a super neat hotel, just the right mix of trendy and laidback. So much more unique and memorable than most other options in town.The rooms are comfortable and the common spaces are a pleasure to spend time in.

Just a few small issues. The rooftop bar seemed way understaffed, it took 20+ minutes to get a drink at the bar. Upon checking out in the morning, the front desk girl barely acknowledged me, was curled up on a lobby chair with her phone and said she would email me a receipt later. And finally, the parking. Asking $20 is very greedy (this is a light industrial park in Lincoln, guys) and the lot is neither covered nor convenient. Get real.

I'll start with the positives. Beds are SO comfortable as well as the pillows. Nice bathroom, very clean and smelled clean. Very quiet.
Negatives: PARKING SUCKS. $20 bucks to self park in a parking lot across the street. No street parking. Valet is available with more $$. The worst set up for a hotel I've ever seen. It's like they asked "how can we build this to be the most inconvenient location, make it hard for our customers to get to, and make the entrance hard to find?" and did just that. Small room. Oh, and no microwave and teeny tiny fridge.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Scarlet hotel on our wedding night. We reserved one of the hotels suites and it was giant!! Way bigger than the pictures show. Large sitting room with TV large separate bedroom with King bed and TV, large bathroom with shower/bath tub walk in wet room, double sinks and separate toilet room with door. Robes and slippers in room! Very nice touches. We had breakfast at the restaurant (Well & Good) in the hotel no one was there to our surprise at 10:30 am on a Sunday! EXCELLENT drip coffee (iykyk), huge portions, delicious cinnamon roll, our waiter was great! The hotel itself beautiful, spacious, rooms decorated with individual Nebraska towns pictures and details, quiet, affordable!! Great experience we will be back!

If you’re looking for a weekend getaway that feels like a warm hug, look no further than the Scarlet Hotel! Kasha, Brandan, Dylan, and Charles truly turned our stay into a five-star experience. Their kindness and knack for recommendations made us feel like VIPs—seriously, we could’ve sworn they were psychic!
It was the kindness that felt more like hanging out with friends than hotel staff.

The shuttle service was a godsend, whisking us off to adventures without breaking a sweat. And let’s talk about the food—delicious! Plus, the rooftop bar? It’s the cherry on top of this fabulous sundae. With stunning views and a lively atmosphere, it’s impossible not to enjoy yourself.

All in all, this place has it all! We’ll definitely be back—if only to soak up more of that Scarlet magic. Cheers to the best weekend getaway! 🍹✨

The atmosphere, the food, the gym, the location all were incredible. They had the best coffee and best evening cocktails.
My only complaint were the pillows. I love a down feather pillow, but these deflated so fast that I wasn't able to sleep well.

The hotel does not award Bonvoy points. There are frequent over charges and excessive holds on credit cards. Management is deficient at resolving issues. They do not respond to emails. The voice mailbox is full so you cannot leave a message. When you request a phone call from a manager, they send you an email stating the problem has been resolved, however they don't bother to verify that you agree with the resolution. Poor guest service.

Most of the furniture, rugs, and bedding is damaged and stained up. The bathroom in our room was disgusting. We let the host know and asked to have the room cleaned. When we returned to the room, it was still dirty and they didnt even change the bedding that was stained. You have to leave the hotel to get food for every meal as they have very limited options. The ratings were so good and I am not sure why. For a 2 year old hotel I was expecting so much more. Very disappointing.

We had a reservation December 11th, 2024 at the Scarlet Hotel in Lincoln Nebraska. We called at about 9pm as we were going to be arriving late, around midnight and wanted to ensure that someone would be there to check us in, we were assured everything with our reservation that we had made days prior was set, and someone would be there to check us in. When we arrived we were told that the hotel was "overbooked" and we would have yo go somewhere else. We were then told that they knew this all day, and just chose not to tell us when we had called just hours before. We drove an extra 3 hours on our 22 hour drive just to stay at this specific hotel because we love it so much, so you can imagine our disappointment to hear this. We were then informed that there were in fact rooms that were unoccupied but they were for people from ESPN, who were not arriving until the next day, but they would not give us any of these open rooms, again despite us also having reservation, and being physically at the hotel at this point, because they were and I quote "more important to take care of". The front desk agents were laughing and joking about it, even though we were visibly upset about this, the manager then told the desk agents not to comp our parking at our new hotel, and that the "room was enough" for them to take care of, despite the new room being $400 less than the room we had reserved. As we were leaving we were then asked to leave out the employees who were working of our "bad review" which they assumed we were going to write. Now on to the hotel they "walked" us to. The hotel we arrived of had a strong odor of cigarettes, and cat pee. We had booked a room with a king bed, and received one with one queen bed, the elevator did not work to the floor we were on, and there was spit on the wall of our hotel room and bathroom- to say it was a disgusting disappointment would be an understatement. We are extremely upset about this situation as we had gone out of our way by three hours to go to his hotel, and were met with unfriendly hospitality from both the manager, and the desk agents. We are avid Hilton users, but are reconsidering this given our most recent experience.

We stayed here for a Nebraska Volleyball game and it’s less than a 10 minute walk to the center. The hotel itself is super beautiful and very clean! The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. The coffee shop on site is super cute and has good food and coffee choices. Also both food/drink options at the hotel are amazing! I would definitely recommend booking your stay here!

First, the good. The room was nice and clean, I appreciated the attention to detail.

Second, the bad. There was a nighttime desk clerk who stopped and asked me 2+ times "are you a hotel guest" when arriving back late at night. I couldn't help but feel targeted, which was confusing. I was wearing a husker jacket, jeans, and boots, not really sure why he got that impression? My stay was for a week, too, and I was in and out for meetings, to go see friends, etc. This was extremely uncomfortable and awkward, and once again, I felt targeted or something. Being asked to prove I was a guest at the hotel felt extremely inappropriate.

Second, when going to check out, I walked up to the desk, the same clerk was working. "I need to check out, please". The clerk looks at me like I spoke a foreign language, then lets out a condescending laugh. Awkward silence as he stares and laughs, to which I go "...what do you need from me to check out?" He then rudely says "room".... more silence. I tell him my room number, to which he continues inappropriately laughing. More awkward silence, I say "...is there anything else you need from me?" To which he goes "no."

I awkwardly walked away, and went on with my day.

This particular gentleman ruined the experience entirely, which is weird because everyone else seemed to be friendly. It left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I've never been treated like this at a hotel, I won't be back.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We were in town for the volleyball games this week and it was the perfect distance to walk to and from the games. The valet staff was always fast and we never waited more than a couple of minutes for our car. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is for the breakfast brunch. For the amount of items offered, it was a little pricey and some of the options were on the cold side. Other than the breakfast, we had a great stay and will stay again next time we’re in town for the game.
