I had a conference to attend at the hotel and was happy to see that they accepted dogs. The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean and has ample parking and a nice area for the dog to potty. Th gaming area is quiet and clean. The conference area and conference staff were wonderful! There is also a really good restaurant/bar on site, which was nice since the hotel is away from the downtown area (which we actually preferred).
Dealing with the front desk staff was less than positive. Upon checking in, we were never given instructions on how to find the elevator nor were we told that the telephones in the rooms didn’t work. In fact, each encounter we had with the front desk staff was pretty underwhelming - they were apathetic and unfriendly.
The room itself had its pros and cons. It was decorated very nicely and had a comfortable bed/and a beautiful view of the valley from the balcony. Too bad we could only sit on our balcony for 5-10 min at a time before cigarette smoke from other guests made it to where we had to go inside. The hotel should only allow smoking in certain rooms, away from the non-smoking rooms. The room’s telephone didn’t work, so any time we had to reach the front desk or restaurant, we had to go downstairs. The A/C unit was very loud. Also, the shower in the bathroom had a cheap plastic insert that wasn’t installed properly and was very loud when you stepped in the shower. The shower head was pretty weak, too.
Overall, I’m not sure if I would stay here again. It could be an exceptional hotel if just a few things were changed.
