We enjoyed our time at the settlers, we were staying at a sister est but we spent most of the time at the settlers. A family friendly place, they had a very beautiful decoration and cozy vibes. Drinks and food was good and service was friendly. We just felt like home. I'd go back again

Had dinner there the other night and was very disappointed. The decor was pretty but we did not feel welcome. Our reservation was for 7:00 and we got there at 6:30 so we could have a drink at the bar. I told the bar tender we had a reservation for dinner but we wanted to have a drink first, all he said was do what you want. There weren’t any other tables seated so we left the bar and finally found the hostess and asked if we could be seated, she said sure and asked if she could take our coats, which was nice, but it was so cold we kept them on (which should have been a red flag but I ignored that). Another red flag was when I asked what wine would he recommend with the prime rib, the waiter just said ‘I’m not a wine guy”. There were only 4 entries to choose from.. I got the prime rib, ordered it medium rare and it was more on the well done side. The waiter never came over to ask how everything was or if we needed anything. The vegetables were tasteless sweet potatoes and were cold. I will say the cup of mushroom soup was good. Needless to say we did not stay for dessert. Spending $500 on a dinner for four you would expect to leave happy. We did not.

I’m not quick to leave a negative review but we took my mother here for her 89th birthday and had a really bad dinner. Service was awful and food was not too good. I reached out in an email, was told a Steven would be in touch with me. That was nearly 2-weeks ago and no follow up. I don’t see us going back, they don’t care anymore.

This rating is for the restaurant only. We were looking for a fine restaurant that could do takeout and we found Settlers Inn. We ordered from them twice during our visit. Ordering was very easy, the food was ready when promised, and the food was actually just as good as it might’ve been in the restaurant after a little reheating. The dishes were well prepared with interesting combinations of flavors. Highly recommended for high-end takeout.

Had an excellent dinner celebrating my parents’ anniversary. We arrived early ahead of our reservations and were given a complimentary ‘wine tasting’ (1 red, 1 white) that we enjoyed on a back patio overlooking well kept grounds. We were seated promptly at our reserved time and service was good despite it being very busy. Everyone enjoyed their meal - the smoked trout appetizer was especially good. Very good beer and wine selection.

I have gone to the restaurant here starting over 30 years ago when it was the best place in the area- it was great then. I revisited it this past weekend and am saddened to see that the restaurant has gone down hill. The service was slow - drinks took forever and I think our salads were forgotten until we asked for them. Once they came, the Caesar salads were awful with subpar greens, stale tasting croutons and hardly any dressing. The tap water for the table had an awful chemical taste to it. Our main meals (filet, pasta) were just ok... Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful place to see with a very nice lobby but the restaurant has gone down hill which has sadly been confirmed to me by others in the area. I don't like giving poor reviews but I have to be honest.

The whole surroundings made the weekend a great overall experience. The champagne room was a great way to spend the weekend with the love of my life. It was an engagement weekend as I asked my forever to marry me. The theme of “paradise” was absolutely a paradise feel. The food was great for both breakfast and dinner, the service was great, and there were plenty of activities to make the experience unforgettable.Definitely could use an update on some of the amenities and rooms. The benefits for the rewards program wasn’t explained and we missed out on a bunch of points that the front desk said couldn’t be added on even though it was never explained when we got there. Also, there was a lot to do (locally, offsite) that could have been explained at check in such as horseback riding, ATV rental and even a shuttle to the casino that is literally 3 minutes down the road. With all of this said, it was a memorable weekend that we will recreate for years to come.

YES!!! This is our happy place!!!! We Budget and save all year long to come here as often as we can! We have brought friends here with us, and spend all year begging our best friends to join us! We have spent the last 10 years here, and will be here for the next 60 years. Thank you for giving us the gift of a blessed marriage and blissfully joy filled memories that last us a lifetime. We sincerely love it here. (And also thank you Jason! Every trip is extra special because of you!!!)

The decor may need an upgrade but it was still really nice. The service was phenomenal. Matthews a great guy. The room didn’t have hot water so quickly we were upgraded to accommodate the inconvenience. My girlfriend and I were able to have a stress free comfortable stay.

Okay, so we splurged on a night in Diana's Room, and overall the experience was very fun. However, service was poor. Our room had an indoor heated pool, but despite reaching out three times, our pool's heating didn't kick on until 20 minutes before checkout. Also, the dance club was a flop. We ended up leaving right when we heard a dj make a fart joke to a silent crowd.

The property is seriously dated, half of the activities are out of order, the bartender hates her job, and the hot water doesn’t work. One of the MAIN things we chose this property for was the in room tub. How disappointing when we attempted to use it and the water was ice cold. Of course that meant we couldn’t shower either which was even worse. We called the desk and the man working the front desk was obviously annoyed by our concern. They sent someone out an hour later and then called us an hour after that to let us know it was broken. Well duh. Also they called us to inform us well after 12AM.. Breakfast was rotten, and they were out of half of what they needed. Their customer service is a JOKE too. We’ve been trying to contact them for weeks regarding our stay in October but we continually get voicemails and promises to “get back to us” with nothing in return. Also in attempts to call the resort I found that their phones go “out of service” pretty often. What a waste of almost $1000 for 2 nights in a glorified motel. Not exactly the most ideal romantic experience. I waited to make this review until we had given it enough time and I can’t believe that they have yet to give us any response.
