The lobby is very nice, the staff at the front desk and bar are friendly, and the riverfront location is good. However our room was odd, felt like a lower quality Marriott room attached to a higher end Marriott lobby. We had a corner king and the view over the river was nice. But when you walk into the room you look straight ahead into the bathroom and straight to the toilet. Who wants the first thing they see in walking into a spacious, higher end room to be the toilet? And the bathroom was strange, large and all white: white walls, white counter, white floors, white shower: no decor, no contrasting colors, no artwork. Felt completely undesigned and very cheap. In contrast the room was dark: dark grey walls, dark wood floor, dark grey sofa. Bottom line, the room was not welcoming. Did not fit with my expectations for a flagship branded Marriott property. Also in the morning we were woken up to the vacuum being run in the hallway. Glad we were only there one night.
