The walls are very thin. I thought the person staying above me had broken into my room at about 1am. The outlet next to the bed was coming out of the wall, exposed dry wall around the outlet. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, the water tasted weird, and the room door took effort to securely close/lock. The complimentary breakfast was disappointing for a place that charges $200+/night. Dry bagels and no hot food. Staff is friendly, but I would recommend you stay somewhere else.

The linoleum was peeling up in the bathroom from water damage and likely had mold underneath. Entire hotel smelled funny and moldy. Water tasted and smelled moldy and gross. Employees were soooo nice.

Unresolved Issues and Poor Service: A Letdown After a Long Journey!!!!!

After two long days of driving and travel, I was exhausted. I checked into the hotel, unpacked, and sat down on the sofa to rest, as my feet were sore. Deciding to take a shower, I was shocked to find there was no hot water. After finishing the cold shower, I went to the front desk to report the issue. The wait was longer than expected as the front desk attendant tried to contact maintenance. Meanwhile, I was freezing from the cold shower, and the lobby was also chilly.

After several minutes, the receptionist informed me that maintenance was aware of the problem and that she would leave a note for the manager to contact me the following day. She also asked if I wanted to switch rooms, but at that point, I was already settled in and just wanted to rest. One of the main reasons I didn’t want to move was that I had already sanitized the room and wiped everything down, and I wasn’t about to do that again.

The next morning, I checked out and spoke with the front desk. The receptionist explained that she was only authorized to remove the $12 valet charge but that a manager could offer further compensation for the inconvenience caused by the lack of hot water. Hours went by without a call, so I reached out and spoke with someone who claimed to be a manager. She essentially dismissed my concerns, saying that I had been offered to move rooms and compensated with the $12 valet charge, so there was nothing more they could do. She also pointed out that because I had already checked out and had been offered to switch rooms, they couldn’t provide any additional compensation.

I am deeply disappointed. I had been considering extending my stay for six months or more, but this experience has made me reconsider. It’s clear to me that larger hotel brands tend to have better-trained management teams that know how to properly address guest concerns. Relocating to another room was not as simple as the manager seemed to assume, and I do not feel that my concerns were taken seriously. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

This hotel did not disappoint! The room and lobby were amazing and unique. Every staff member was pleasant and went above and beyond. Big props to Herman who recommend places to check out while we were in town.

Best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Everyone there has exceptional customer service. We stayed here after a fire broke out in our apartment complex. The service was so amazing that I got emotional. This is the best hotel in Shreveport/Bossier area. The room was fantastic. The drinks were amazing. You can’t beat this. My partner and I plan on returning under happier circumstances as soon as we can. The building itself is absolutely gorgeous. There’s nothing like it around here. I’m truly blown away. Management if you are reading this just know that you have incredible staff and they deserve to be appreciated and taken care of. Definitely the kind of hotel you miss when you leave.

The perfect spot for a weekend getaway, the rooms were nice (classic but updated), the service was excellent (the staff had our room number memorized), and it was in a great location; just a quick walk to the casino, the Revel art fair, or the fancy hot dog place a few blocks away. It made me rethink what I knew about Shreveport's downtown area.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received with Remington Suite Hotel and Spa. I requested an appointment on Tuesday night for a couples massage on Saturday for 3:00 P.M (which was listed on the site); I received a text the following day, Wednesday, asking if I could come in earlier and I replied that I couldn't due to that being the ONLY available time for us to come. I never heard anything back after that so I called today at 11:22 A.M to see if everything was ok since they didn't text anything back. When I called, I talked to the receptionist and asked if I could be transferred to the spa section and she stated that no one was there and she could possibly help me; she stated that I wasn't in the system for an appointment and I told her I did book online for 3:00 P.M for Saturday. The receptionist placed me on hold to see if she could talk with the on-site manager, and the phone hung up. I called back, and I told her the phone hung up when she "placed me on hold" and she then stated she was talking with someone on the other end on what to do and then I was transferred to the spa department that no one was at!?!?!? Why was I transferred to spa if no one was ON-SITE? I called back AGAIN! I asked to speak with a manager; I was then placed on another hold and ended up talking with a Ms. D, who was EXTREMELY RUDE. I told her that I booked on Monday or Tuesday (it was Tuesday) and that I was checking to see if everything was ok with Saturday and she told me that I wasn't in the system. I was perplexed on how I wasn't when I received a message regarding the service I booked, which I suppose doesn't happen unless the appointment is approved? While talking with Ms. D, she stated that she declined the appointment because no one would be available to do a couples massage and only two technicians would be available at 1 P.M. I told her that it would not work, as I stated in the text message and I asked her if she needed me to show her the messages. She stated it would not matter as we wouldn't be able to be serviced. I told her that I can understand not being staffed for it but why was it not conveyed to me that the service couldn't be done, especially if I was sent a text with an earlier time with no explanation? Ms. D told me she was the one to send the message because she was "helping out" and technicians are not allowed to reach out to customers and if they did, that's very unprofessional. I was also told that some in the spa area should have reached out to me regarding everything and she would be the one to talk to them about it because it wasn't done. After she said she's the one who sent the initial message to me regarding the appointment in the first place?? After this point, I was talked over, belittled, and made to be slow-witted. I will say that I have NEVER received such NASTY CUSTOMER SERVICE like I did today in my life! I told her that she did not have to keep reiterating about not having anyone because I understood that, and I was told "very good" Excuse me? Who says that to someone? You want to talk about what being unprofessional is, THAT'S IT! She displayed not a CARE in the world. Thank you for ruining a birthday plan/gift.

Quirky boutique hotel. Ghosts galore. Rich history. Some funky rooms without windows and lower ceilings than I prefer. Beds and bedding were really quality. So comfortable! Lots of pillows. Everything was clean. Our suite bathroom had too many mirrors and felt last century in a not great way. No hotel restaurant. The staff are incredible!!!! Ritz Carlton level service. I was not expecting that! Can't wait to go back just to see them. Lovely bar.

My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary at this quaint bed and breakfast! Jimmy and Brian made us feel so welcome! The breakfast was wonderful! Especially the Tomato grits! If you need a getaway this is the perfect place to unwind. Thanks guys for your southern hospitality!

Our first Bed and Breakfast experience, and it won't be our last! I can't believe what we've been missing out on. Exquisite, absolutely breathtaking, and welcoming. It was literally a home away from home experience. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find out our suite had been upgraded at no additional charge. We stayed in the Vicki Gail suite. The decor, craftsmanship, and antiques throughout the home were incredible. Our suite was no different. Every amenity you could need was readily available, as well as amenities you didn't even realize you wanted were also available. So much thought and consideration went into our suite, and it showed. Breakfast was no joke. It was beyond exceptional! Breakfast was at 9AM and consisted of a homemade spread of biscuits, bacon, sausage, homestyle potatoes,crawfish tails in a type of gravy sauce, egg souffle, fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juices, coffee, fruit, lemon pound cake, an assortment of muffins, and homemade fried pies 😍😋 Everything was delicious and fresh. Hands-down one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. Jimmy and Brian were so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. They made you feel at home like a member of the family. Loved sipping coffee out on the balcony. There are so many places outside to sit and unwind. If I could rate beyond 5 stars, I would give 2439 Fairfield Bed & Breakfast 10 stars! It's definitely worth every penny

Southern hospitality and Southern charm are what you’ll get at 2439 Fairfield BnB! We stayed in the Alice Suite and the bed was comfy. The room and the entire house were clean with amazingly no dust considering all the antiques and nostalgic pieces throughout. For breakfast, we were served scrambled eggs, 2 kinds of sausage, fresh roasted potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, fresh fruit, toasted English muffins, lemon bread, muffins, fresh perserves, cereal and milk along with fresh brewed coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice and a variety of teas. To top it off, we were served individual fried pies with 5 different filling choices that were fried up fresh by Jimmy while we finished up breakfast. They were AMAZING! Thanks Jimmy and Brian for being great hosts. We will definitely be back. Couldn’t ask for a better pet friendly, quiet place to stay!

A perfect location close to the airport (less than 15 minutes) and my relatives. The house is "warm" and inviting. Spooky if you go downstairs at night to explore. Lots of wonderful antiques and memorabilia. Breakfast is served at a time for those who don't have departing flight before 10:30 am.

This was by far the BEST BnB I’ve ever stayed in! 1) The hosts were so nice you felt like you were visiting family. I could listen to Jimmy’s stories all day. They give to their community which makes it even better to stay there and support what they do. 2) The food was amazing. 3) I love the house. It was like a trip back in time and full of so many fun, decorative details. Also, visit the R W Norton museum and gardens just down the road, truly amazing.
