I want to give this hotel a better rating because it’s beautiful, and the room was great, but my overall experience left me disappointed. It started with the reservation process. I called to book because I was part of a wedding group, and the bride informed us there was a discounted rate. The staff member I spoke with was kind and located the wedding party, quoting me $279 plus 15% tax and a $100 deposit. When I asked if that price included the discount, she said yes. However, I noticed on the hotel’s website that the same room was listed for $269 with a discount. It was only a $10 difference, so I let it go.When we arrived at the hotel, my husband went to check in with the groom. He was shocked to hear the receptionist quote a much higher price—$420 with tax. The groom had to step in and clarify that the agreed price for the wedding group was $240. This lack of communication was frustrating. The issues didn’t stop there. We stayed in the Presidential Suite, which had two queen beds and one king bed. I called room service to request an additional robe since the two provided were already in use. I was transferred three times before finally being told someone would call me back. When they did, the staff member seemed rude, insisting there were already two robes in the closet. After explaining that those were in use, I was warned that if they weren’t returned, I’d be charged $75. This interaction felt unnecessarily harsh and unprofessional.Overall, while the hotel itself is lovely, the lack of clear communication and the rude customer service detracted significantly from our experience. I hope the hotel improves its coordination and customer service in the future.
