The King room with sofa bed was okay, but in my opinion, the suite is a much better option — it feels more open and less stuffy.
Unfortunately, several issues made our stay disappointing. My boyfriend had a package shipped to the hotel, and since we had to leave a day early, we notified staff in advance that it was still on its way and that he would return to pick it up. Despite that, the package was sent back to the sender. We had also paid for an additional night but had to cut our stay short, which added to the frustration.
On Friday, August 29th, we also tried to dine at the hotel restaurant around 8:30 p.m. No one greeted us when we arrived. When we asked if we should just sit down, the response was a casual “yeah.” After sitting, we waited 10–20 minutes. The server saw us arrive, looked in our direction multiple times, but never came to our table. When my boyfriend went to the bar to ask for help, the staff member there blatantly ignored him. At that point, we left. We have never experienced service this dismissive or unprofessional.
The only reason we gave the restaurant another chance four days later was because the hotel itself is undeniably beautiful. Unfortunately, the service was again unacceptable and did not reflect the high standard of such a stunning property.
Because of these issues, we do not plan to return, which is disappointing given how beautiful the hotel itself is.
