My husband and I recently chose to stay at this hotel for four nights due to its close proximity to where we were working. When we checked in, I read that our room would be cleaned daily. However, late on the second day when we arrived at the hotel from working, our room had not been cleaned. No big deal-but we were out of towels and washcloths. (This particular room only had two bath towels, two hand towels and two washcloths. Not sufficient for two days of two people showering. Most women I know use two bath towels for themselves-one for their body and one for their head) I called the front desk that night and asked for a couple more towels and washcloths. I was told that housekeeping would bring some right up to us. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and I was stuck drying off with a hand towel from my shower. The next morning (day three) my husband visited with the front desk manager about our experience. The manager handed my husband a stack of towels and told him that he would ensure our room would be cleaned that day. We left for work and when we arrived in our room that night, it was evident that housekeeping did not visit our room. My husband made a second visit to the manager at the front desk. Again, repeat. Housekeeping promised. Housekeeping failed. The next manager offered (and my husband accepted) a discount for the complete lack of housekeeping, which was a nice gesture. However, I have never stayed at a hotel that doesn't offer housekeeping at least every other day or by request. This hotel shouldn't advertise daily housekeeping. In addition, if you're going to require your guests stay four nights without any housekeeping, perhaps provide more than two towels? Maybe even a garbage bag so we can haul out our trash?
