I had the same experience as another customer! I was charged a $250 room damage fee to my room. I spoke with Ms. Bridget Johnson who was extremely rude and unprofessional to me as well. Her customer service is POOR as a general manager for a large hotel chain. She said she was done speaking about the matter and hung up in my face. She is using her position of authority in all the wrong ways. She is not a leader to look up to. I also asked for proof of smoking in the room, to which she has yet to provide. I would be very cautios when booking with this hotel. It seems like they have a habit of stealing money.

I stayed at this Hotel on the 20th of December and the next day I received an additional $585 charge to my card. The manager Bridget Johnson was the manager that finally called me back after trying to reach her for several days. I disputed the charges so she said she would send me proof. I never got any proof sent to me and since I have called customer service and they could'nt get her to call me either. She said when she talked to me that my last review didn't hurt her or the hotel chain and basically that she had the final say. I have been a loyal member of Hilton since 2016 and never had a problem not once. I would warn anyone that stays at this hotel not to use a card with over the room and deposited. This Manager was rude to me and had no remorse for taking my money without proof! I'm Still fighting this I just contacted the State Attorneys office. As a Retired Army Veteran I feel totally disrespected! You said I admitted that I damaged your sheets to the hotel receptionist but I didn't. You never sent proof because there was no proof! The manager only spoke to me once not several times. So you lied about that. I have tried to reach the GM several Times and she has not returned my calls since the first time we talked.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn for a week on a business trip. The experience was quite terrifying with COCKROACHES everywhere in the room. We had to switch to a different room with the same situation. Would strongly encourage the hotel management to address this issue. Would strongly recommend everyone to consider alternative hotels in the area until this problem here is fixed.

This girl Rebecca at the front desk was so kind that made a difference. Kudos to her. Room was neat and clean. The breakfast in the morning was very nice, lots of options. Their free cookies at the reception were delicious.

If you chose to stay here, be prepared for the worst stench ever. As soon as the doors open, the odor will hit you. You will be gagging, that same smell from the lobby also goes up to the 2nd floor rooms. It appears they have oder eater containers at the entrance and all in the lobby. But those literally are doing nothing for the smell. I repeat do not stay here. They tried to deny the smell, when clearly everyone around can smell it.

The rooms were clean and the staff was nice. The only major complaint was that the lobby smelled horrible as well as the elevator. The lobby almost had a sewer smell to it, and the elevator smelled like garbage. Hopefully this is only temporary as i imagine something had to have gone wrong in the hotel like a sewer problem.

We just stayed here for a week since we didn’t have any power at home in Houston. First of all, the staff is top notch, A++; every morning, everyone greeted us and was friendly and not just front desk, but cleaning crew, maintenance folks, everyone. The front desk crew was great to us, also, getting us everything we needed during the stay. Our room was clean, the beds were comfy, the WiFi was fast, and our evening swims were so great. There were always towels stocked and the pool was clean also. Additionally the hotel was so quiet; we almost never heard anyone else there and I hope they didn’t hear us since our kiddo does make a fair amt of noise. Overall, great stay. Highly recommend!!

I always stay at the archer when I am in town for work. I have always had a great experience and feel well taken care of. That said, today I had an unfortunate experience with one of the folks at the front desk. I had gotten locked out of my room when I went downstairs to collect a doordash order. The gentleman came up behind me and asked if I needed help and when I told him my issue, he was a bit incredulous and then asked if I had my id on me as if he doubted I was even a guest? I assured him I was and that I had spoken with a colleague of his just earlier that morning to extend my stay. The entire encounter was odd when all I needed was to have my key card fixed. I don’t think that doubting your guests and treating them like they must be wrong about the issue is a very good policy. I walked away disappointed from the interaction, to be honest. I will continue to stay here because it is close to my work but I don’t really feel like interacting with him again, if I can help it.

Monday morning 1AM. I am unable to ease my mind due to incredibly loud music coming from "the wonder bar." I am on the 8th floor. Maybe it was just a long day, but regardless, it's not a good hotel for getting quality sleep if your room is facing this obnoxiously loud bar that had maybe 10 people in it! (I went to check it out and paid 14 dollars for a drink and listened to subpar music 🍸 🙃) (not normally a karen) GREAT SERVICE AT THE ARCHER !

Archer Hotel Austin has truly transformed my perception of what a hotel can and *should* be. Having stayed at Archer Hotel NYC twice this past summer, I anticipated a similar experience when I visited Austin. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how much the Austin location stood apart — setting a new standard that should serve as a model for all their properties. From the moment I arrived, I was taken aback by the size and grandeur of the hotel. But, as the saying goes, *everything is bigger in Texas*, and this hotel certainly lives up to that idea. Check-in was seamless, and a staff member personally escorted me to my room, handling my bags with ease and without any expectation of a tip.The room itself was a revelation. It felt more like a stylish studio apartment than a traditional hotel room, with elegant, thoughtful decor and furnishings that made it feel both luxurious and homelike. The space was impeccably clean — so spotless, in fact, that it felt like I was the first guest to ever set foot in the room. The attention to detail was impressive: complementary water, a wellness kit, high-end shampoo and shower products, and a delightful treat of caramels waiting for me. Wi-Fi was effortlessly accessible, and the in-room Apple TV made it easy to unwind after a day of exploration. I also loved the cozy throw blankets, which added a nice touch of comfort. One of the standout features of this property is their house car — a Cadillac Escalade that offers complimentary rides within a 3-mile radius. For those needing parking, valet service is available, as is free on-site parking. The hotel's amenities also exceeded expectations. The gym was well-equipped, and the pool deck was nothing short of spectacular. Covered lounges, chilled water, fresh apples, sunblock, and cooling towels were all thoughtfully provided, making it easy to relax and enjoy the space.Over the course of my 4-day stay, I continued to be impressed by the quality of service. The staff went above and beyond, with their attentiveness and care evident in every interaction. I never saw a pillow out of place or trash on the floor. Each time I returned to my room, I was greeted by a small, thoughtful gesture from housekeeping — an extra touch that made me feel valued as a guest.I had the pleasure of dining at AKB, the hotel’s in-house restaurant, and I must say, the brick oven pizza is absolutely *delicious*. I also enjoyed drinks there on several occasions. My evenings were spent on the patio of my room, which offered a stunning view and the warmth of a gas fireplace, all framed by a huge sliding door that created a perfect indoor-outdoor experience. OK - maybe I spent an equal amount of time in the GIANT tub!Without question, I would prioritize staying at Archer Hotel Austin over other downtown hotels or chain properties on any future visits to the city. The experience was exceptional in every way, and it has set a new benchmark for what luxury hospitality should be while not feeling over-the-top, and ensuring I felt at home at every moment. To the Hosts & Housekeeping, I appreciate everything, including the packing of my charger I left in the room at check-out. You made me feel not just at home, but part of the family during my visit, and for that I’ll be forever both loyal, and grateful.

WOW! We spent the weekend in the Domain area and stayed at the Archer. It was lovely. The staff was always friendly. Very clean hotel. The rooms were nice, and the bed was comfortable. James always greeted us as we passed by the front desk. Once, he noted we were waiting by the coffee bar for a prolonged period as it was empty, and he quickly walked across the lobby to refill the coffee dispenser. He didn't have to do that. He made the stay extra nice. Super friendly. Definitely will stay there again. Shopping was a bonus. Clean area and felt safe at night walking around.

The location is great, the rooms are good but whats sets them apart is the service. And its starts with the leadership, the hotel manager Moe is amazing, willing to assist provide a great experience and just make sure that all is perfect for your stay. They better make sure to take care of him because he really makes the place go to a whole new level

Wow! what a wonderful experience my husband and I had at this hotel. We stayed for our wedding near by. I mean from the perfect location, attentive service, to the GREAT food this hotel is 100% worth the price. I recommend this to anyone and everyone. Front desk staff is unlike anything I’ve seen at a hotel so far; every single one was amazing! Great job Archer.

Location is great. Rooms are nice. However the service is sub-par which is disappointing. I had to request a room cleaning twice. Did not receive fresh towels. The curtains were inoperable (essentially broken) and I asked to have it fixed and did not happen. The location is great so if that is your primary goal then I recommend. As to what you receive for the price, you can do better. I am hopeful this was just a one-off bad experience.02-Jul Update: I received a follow-up communication from the director of rooms who took the time to respond to my concerns. I greatly appreciated this and it confirms that this was probably just a one-off unfortunate situation. I am impressed by their care and loyalty to customers to follow-up like this and I am appreciative. Kudos to you Archer Hotels and thank you.
