A Luxurious Stay with Room for ImprovementI was really looking forward to giving this hotel a 5-star review, but unfortunately, a few hiccups prevented it from being a flawless experience. We checked in ahead of time through the app and retrieved a digital key, which was convenient. However, we encountered confusion when trying to share the key with another guest staying in the same room. Upon contacting the hotel directly, we were incorrectly informed that the app didn’t support this feature. After a bit of research, we discovered it actually does, which was a bit frustrating—especially that the hotel was unaware of its own app’s capabilities.Upon arrival, the bellman took our bags but didn’t seem to understand that we had already checked in virtually. The gentleman at the front desk, who appeared to be new, was confused by our virtual check-in and mistakenly checked us out of the system. After some back and forth, the front desk was able to check us back in and reissue a digital key, but the delay was disappointing. To their credit, they did offer a restaurant credit for the inconvenience, which was appreciated.Additionally, we had read in reviews that a tour of the hotel was offered to guests, but this wasn’t extended to us during our stay.On a more positive note, the concierge was exceptional and went above and beyond to arrange a surprise special request, which really elevated our experience. Despite the initial setbacks, the rest of our stay was enjoyable, but given the luxury standards of this hotel, we expected a bit more polish in the service.
